Call for Proposals – FAO Climate Change Days: Share and Learn
FAO Headquarters, Rome, Italy, 21 – 23 June 2010
fao.org/climatechange/ccdays
Background
The purpose of the FAO Climate Change Days: Share and Learn is to allow FAO Staff to share lessons they have learned in field projects related to climate change in order to build on their own capacity in this area. We want to facilitate the spread of good practices that have emerged from work within the organization, and provide knowledge for improved working practices on climate change.
For this event we want to gather participants who are interested and able to contribute practical experiences and lessons learned on climate change work in discussion and reflection sessions.
We are also aiming to compile the outcomes of the meeting into a publication based on climate change work that has been conducted by FAO. This publication will contain concrete case studies and a synthesis of lessons learned from FAO projects that address climate change impacts on agriculture, forestry, fisheries and livelihoods.
The FAO Climate Change Days is inspired by the Share Fair, held at FAO HQ in January 2009[1]. Different interactive formats of presentation and input will be encouraged at the event, with various types of media available.
Language
The event will be held in English, and therefore a working knowledge of English is necessary for participation. If you wish to submit a proposal in another language, please ensure that the abstract has been translated to English.
Dates
Call for submissions closes on April 26, 2010.
The event will take place on June 21 - 23, 2010.
