APPLICATION FOR RETURNER WORK TRIAL FUNDING
- APPLICATION
Companiesinterested to come on board the Returner Work Trial are required to complete and submit the Application Form (see Annex A) and On-the-Job Training Plan(see Annex B)totheU Family Unit (“NTUC U Family”) of the National Trades Union Congress (“NTUC”).

NTUC U Family will respond to the Company within 5 working days on the status of their application upon receipt of all documents.
- NOTIFICATION FORM
Once application is approved, NTUC U Family will send an official Notification Form to the Company stating the funding criteria and terms and conditions. Companies must return the endorsed Notification Form to NTUC U Family, before they can proceed toenrol eligibleReturner(s) into the programme.
- CLAIMS FOR TRAINING ALLOWANCE AND RETENTION BONUS
Companiesmust provide a monthly training allowance of not less than $2,500 to the eligible Returner[1] during the trial period. Of this training allowance, Company must co-fund a minimum of $1,000 per month; while the remaining $1,500 can be claimed at the end of the Returner Work Trial.Companies fulfilling all programme requirements will be eligible to claim up to $9,000 training allowance support ($1,500/month for up to 6months).
If the Returner is offered a permanent placement at the company and is still working in the company at the 9th month mark after commencement of the Returner Work Trial (i.e. placed and retained for at least 3 months), employers will be eligible for a one-off retention bonus of $3,000.
NTUC U Family will inform the Company of the claims process upon successful application.

1.We acknowledge that our company shall be deemed to have successfully registered for the Funding forReturner Work Trial only if we have received an official notificationfrom NTUC U Family informing us of our successful application.
2.We undertake to do the following as a registered Host Company under the Returner Work Trial:
- employ Singapore Citizen(s) aged 30 years and above with minimum diploma qualification or above/previously in PMET role, and who has been voluntarily out of the workforce for 2 years or longer;
- ensure that the returner has not undergone a similarWSG-funded programme previously (e.g. Work Trial/CSP);
- execute the completed ReturnerWork TrialOn-the-Job Training Plan(Annex B)foreach individual who undertakes the Returner Work Trial (the “Returner”);
- in the event that a Returner suffers an accident or serious injury during the Returner WorkTrial, render immediate assistance to the Returner and notify NTUC U Family;
- inform the Returner as to whether he/she is offered permanent employment by our organisationlatest within 3 days after completion of theReturner Work Trial; and
- comply with all laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to personal data protection in respect of any personal data disclosed to us by any party for purposes of the Returner Work Trial programme and indemnify NTUC for any costs, claims or expenses arising from any breach of the same.
