Setup Babyware for MG6250 using GPRS
The following will give you some guidelines to successfully setup and program your Paradox MG6250 console via internet to GPRS.
You will need some I would say IT knowledge to do this, very simple.
We also requested for free and used an Unrestricted APN from Vodacom - application form: Click to go to Vodacom
Make use of 8ta simcard, incoming remote connections is allowed on this cards.
Log into your router. This is the address e.g. where you change e.g your ISP user and password. For now let's use the most common IP address to do this. Telkom routers or so may use 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1 and so on.
If not sure find your DNS IP your computer is using - Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections
Double click local area connection then details and look for IPv4 dns server details and write that IP down, also note the IPv4 address
Open Internet Explorer or other browse, type theDNS IP into address bar and log into router.(we do not keep the user or passwords)
The following images would differ as not all routers is the same but somewhat similar.
1) Enable DMZ to forward incoming connections to your PC IP address
2) The next image you must set the incoming port to forward to your pc. We used Port 15000.
Save and exit.
3) Enter MG6250 programming setup using 0000 installer code, 09, then select sim card # 1, APN settings change to Unrestricted and then change port to 03386 and exit programming
Now setup BabyWare software and create a account for your panel.
Select GPRS/Public Network option.
4) The GPRS Module IP address we entered is an Unrestricted APN, the IP will start with 41.192. This IP needs to be viewed from the console or send the console following message from your cell phone: Padmin.IP.yourcellnumber
The yourcellnumber is who the console must reply to with details.
Enter details as per sms you received from console.
GPRS module password: admin
PC software IP address - click on magnifying glass to get your external IP on PC
Call back port as per setup on router - 15000
Click at bottom OK button and connections is ready.
PCS250 GPRS connection
Same for Paradox PCS250, we used a SP6000 control pane, tested on E-bus and serial port.
This however do not require port forwarding, DMZ must be enable to route to your PC IP. Babyware will require you to send a connection sms to unit to initialize connection.
Paradox SP6000 connected via PCS250 GSM
We will only assist you with programming once a connection was made via internet connection remotely.
If you still struggle after a few hours, we would not be able to assist you.
Read instructions again, someone needs to be on site to do this setup as described here. If still everything still fails rather get a Paradox 307usb cable.
We do not accept any warrantee to the settings or liable for any damages that might arise from any of the processes here.
Please be aware that your cell phone card will not be protected from malicious attacks on internet using Unrestricted access on sim card.
Please change the admin password on your console and change user codes
Disable DMZ and port forwarding when not using this setup on your router.
