Creativity of Holy Spirit in “Non-Agenda” Meetings
Holy Spirit is a Creative God. He loves to be as unshackled and free as humans will allow. So during the course of a meeting we want to have as many possibilities in our hip pocket as possible. This ‘arms’ us with the ability to follow the Holy Spirit. The down side of not being ‘armed’ or skilled, is that even after He gives promptings we have to keep playing our ‘one string fiddle’. He is then effectively restricted from moving in His creativity.
I strongly suggest that the leaders of any meeting have a literal list available (or at least have a strong familiarity with a list) for referencing during the course of a meeting. Obviously, we want to be eager and able to do something never before done or even thought of.
So thinking ahead, where might He lead us? Let’s list some possibilities:
Invite Holy Spirit
Activate everyone to our need for His presence and help
Extend red carpet welcome mat to Him
Ask Him to come and lead us to the Father/ Jesus
Rev 19:10 “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”
Prophetic meetings will magnify Jesus always!
Testimonies
Sharing of overt disappointment – death, calamity, loss, etc.
Gives opportunity for body to rally together for one of their own
Rally prayer for that person
Gives a note of reality – life is real
Take up an offering for that person
Potentially use that ‘core issue’ as a direction for next part of the meeting
Sharing an great blessing, occasion or visitation of the Lord
Encourages all present
Proves that God is good and BIG
Potentially use that “core issue” as a direction for next part of the meeting
Corporate Worship Modes
Rally – Attention! – Listen Up!
Marching - Setting of Purpose – Onward Ho!
Warfare – A call to arms / do battle Intercession – Prayer/worship on behalf of others Plaintiff plea – Appeal for mercy Intimacy – Fall in love with Jesus time Waiting – Be still and know that I am God
Praise/Celebration - He’s such a Great God! Melt the heart / receiving healing – ministry time

Sharing the ‘word’
Should be shorter rather than longer / 5–20 minutes
From a leader/gifted person
That person should have 5 or 10 subjects available
Ready to share on them at a moment’s notice
Sharing should stay “in sync” with direction HS has established in meeting
Refrain from Christianese – religious ‘catch phrases’
Puts people to sleep
Discredits the word
From anyone present
They may come with a fresh revelation
Their sharing will be delightfully unpolished, spontaneous and from one of us
‘Mini’ exhortations along the way to validate what is happening in meeting
Administering / ministry of the emphasis of Holy Spirit(ministry to people)
Validate the current emphasis
Give scripture or relevance to “now”
What is the best application
Implement the application
Seat chairs in front and have people come sit in response to invitation
Have ministry team come gently pray over each one
Have people lift hands – signifying need for prayer
Have people around that person lay hands on and agree in prayer
Have people respond quietly and privately
No interaction with others
Have people come ask for prayer afterwards
Fill out cards for future follow-up
Blessing tunnel / fire tunnel
Tunnel ministers MUST be FULL, current, alive, teachable, team players, etc
This may be chaotic (good) so is probably more appropriate near end of meeting
Music must usually be upbeat / alive
If it isn’t aggressive, the tunnel ministers begin to pray silent prayers
Atmosphere may deflate – everything begins to ‘drag’
Worship leader or leader should fill the room louder than anyone else
This provides an audio ‘covering’ for all other activities in room
With songs appropriate for occasion and emphasis
With prophetic song / song of the Lord over persons in line
General exhortations / prophetic utterances / prayers
Prayer / Intercession – possible implementations
Anyone can write requests on white erase board
All are given a blank post-it to write request on and put in basket
Hand out later and have everyone pray over the requests
Break into small groups of 3-7 people to pray
Establish subject to pray about
Anoint sick with oil and pray for healing

Different locations for different levels of skill
Clay sculpting, pencil/chalk/crayon sketching, painting, writing, poetry, etc.
Drama
Skits, mime, multimedia, video clips

Line dance / square dance
Spontaneously feature some more gifted dancers – laugh / enjoy / highlight an individual
Corporate dance steps / Jericho march / etc
Banners, cloths, streamers, flags
Communion
Formal and corporate occasion
Administered with focus and emphasis
Joint and simultaneous participation
Elements can be from common cup or loaf
Elements can be from individual cups and wafers
