JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: / Finance ManagerHOURS: / Full time
RESPONSIBLE TO: / Airport Managing Director/ Corserv Group Finance Director
DIRECT SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY FOR: Finance Department.
INTERNAL:
CAL Board of Directors, Chairman and Managing Director. Executive Team and functional relationship with all department managers and staff.
EXTERNAL:
All stakeholders, customers and suppliers to the business, including but not limited to:
Corserv, Cornwall Council, Airport tenants and concessionaires, Airlines, suppliers and customers and other airport users, Tourism authorities, local business associations & CAA, HM Revenue & Customs, Company Auditors and tax advisers, insurance brokers.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To take responsibility for all aspects of financial strategy, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, commercial services and company administration. Working alongside the Airport Managing Director in the development of strategies aimed at improving financial performance through revenue maximisation and cost efficiencies.
General
To act as an ambassador for the business and represent the airport at both internal and external events ensuring that the profile of the airport, in both business and political circles is enhanced.
Working closely with the Managing Director in the management of day to day airport business.
Financial Performance & Planning
1)Management, Development of effective financial systems, credit controls and processes to improve business efficiency.
2)Provision of timely financial information including budgets, forecasts, monthly financial reports and business case evaluations.
3)Provision of monthly management accounts as a review of revenue and expenditure against budget and dissemination and interpretation of the information to budget holders.
4)Provide regular reports to the Board evaluating Risks and opportunities that may impact on the businesses ability to achieve targets.
5)Take responsibility for the preparation of the annual budget cycle and Business Plan production.
6)Responsible for the management of the company’s cash flow and banking arrangements.
7)Ensuring and managing compliant cash and stock control systems.
8)Leading, motivating and developing the financial team.
9)Evaluating supply chain cost expenditure.
Commercial Services
1)Research, analysis, development of business opportunities as directed by the Managing Director.
2)Business performance analysis – Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs).
3)To be the primary contact and lead for the administration and implementation of commercial tenders and contracts.
4)Management of the insurance requirements of the business.
5)To create, edit and proofread business communications and documents using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other technical software.
Company Administration
1)Provide the financial information to support the management of employee KPI Scorecards.
2)Management of the Company’s external Service Level Agreements.
3)To create a culture of business excellence in the Company’s staff that leads to customer satisfaction, retention and extension of contracts, securing ‘Best Value’ in all activities undertaken by the Company.
4)To participate in Business Continuity planning and responsible person of the Airport Station Emergency Procedures.
5)Any other responsibility assigned to the post by the Airport Managing Director.
