Bentley Programs Installation Procedures

  1. Verify the Microsoft Office Suite is Installed and run Access, Excel, and Word.
  2. Install AutoCAD, all current Updates and the current VBA Enabler. Open a new drawing and then close AutoCAD.
  3. Restart the computer.
  4. In windows Explorer, browse to \\C4468mv089\Groups\AutoPlant\Programs and copy the latest suite (ex. 2016 SS8) to your desktop.
  5. Install the appropriate Bentley Prerequisite Pack ex. (apr64081113129en.exe) by double clicking on it.
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Click on “Next”.
  3. Select default Location to Save Files by clicking on “Next”.
  4. Select “Install”

  1. Select “Next” on the AutoPlant Framework page.

  1. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Next”
  2. Click “Next” on “Custom Setup” page.
  3. Click “Install” on “Ready to Install the Program” page.
  1. Launch the License Management tool by checking the box and clicking on “Finish”
  1. Choose the 2nd radio button and click on “Next”.

  1. Copy C4468M044in the Server Name box.
  2. Copy 9B408EB451ED4D4AA6C1A856E130CB58 in the Site Activation Key box.

  1. Click on “Next”.
  2. Select “United States” from the country pull down and click on “Next”.
  3. Click on “Finish”.
  4. Click on “Close”.
  5. Restart the computer.
  1. Install the appropriate P&ID program ex. (ppid08111143en.exe) by double clicking on it.
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Select the default “Extract and install installation package” by clicking on “OK”.

  1. Select the “Advanced Settings” button.
  2. Check the “Use Proxy setting for internet connection box.
  3. Type 10.14.240.127 in the http: box and 1494 in the Port box and click on “OK”.
  1. Click on “Install”.
  2. Click on “Next” on the Setup page.
  3. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Next”
  4. Select the default Destination Folder by clicking on “Next”.
  5. Check the boxes for Start Menu and Desktop and then click on “Next”.

  1. Choose Typical for Setup Type then select “Install”.
  2. Check the box to Launch the License Activation Tool and click on “Finish” and accept all the defaults from the previous session.
  1. Install the appropriate Instrumentation and Wiring program ex. (prins081113129en.exe) by double clicking on it.
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Click on “Next”.
  3. Select default Location to Save Files by clicking on “Next”.
  4. Select “Next” to begin the Install Wizard.
  5. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Next”.
  6. Select the default Destination Folder by clicking on “Next”.
  7. Select “Install”
  8. Check the box to Launch the License Management Tool and click on “Finish” and accept all the defaults from the previous session.
  1. Install the appropriate ProStructures program ex. (pstac081111161en.exe) by double clicking on it.
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Click on “Next”.
  3. Select default Location to Save Files by clicking on “Next”.
  4. Select “AutoCAD_64” from the pulldown and then click on Start Setup.
  5. Select “OK” if you get this message.
  1. Select “English” for the language and click on “OK”.
  2. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Next”.
  3. Select Localization for USA and Canada… Only and then click “Next”.
  1. Select “Next” again.
  2. Choose the correct version of AutoCAD and click on “Next”.
  3. Select the default Destination Folder by clicking on “Next”.
  4. Select “Next” to Install.
  5. Select the default Destination Folder by clicking on “Next”.
  6. Select the default Icon Name by clicking on “Next”.
  7. Select “Finish”.
  8. Select “Finish” and Yes to restart the computer now.
  1. Install the appropriate ProStructuresOject Enabler program ex. (pstoe081111161en.exe) by double clicking on it. For SS8 open the pstoe081111161en.zip file and click on the “Setup.exe” file. The setup program will determine what system you have ( 64 bit or 32 bit).
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Install”.
  3. Click on “Finish”.
  1. Open the ProStructural program.
  1. Select ProSteel for your license and check the box to Not show this again then click on the checkmark.
  2. Select Yes to Product Activation Wizard and click on “Finish” and accept all the defaults from the previous session.
  3. Select Imperial for the Measurement Unit then click on the checkmark.
  4. Close the ProStrucrures Insider dialog box and close the ProStructural program.
  1. Install the appropriate AutoPlant Modeler program ex. (apm64081113129en.exe) by double clicking on it.
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Click on “Next”.
  3. Select default Location to Save Files by clicking on “Next”.
  4. Select “Next” to begin the Install Wizard.
  5. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Next”.
  6. Select ALL of the Catalogs and Specs then click on “Next”.
  7. Start the Custom Setup by clicking on “Next”.
  8. Select “Install”
  9. Check the box to Launch the License Management Tool and click on “Finish” and accept all the defaults from the previous session.
  1. Install the appropriate AutoPlant Object Enabler ex. (apoe081113129en.exe) by double clicking on it.
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Click on “Next”.
  3. Select default Location to Save Files by clicking on “Next”.
  4. Select “Next” to begin the Install Wizard.
  5. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Next”.
  6. Start the Custom Setup by clicking on “Next”.
  7. Select “Install”.
  8. Select “Finish”.
  1. Install the appropriate AutoPlant Drawing Flattener ex. (apdf081112111en.exe) by double clicking on it.
  1. Select “Run”.
  2. Click on “Next”.
  3. Select default Location to Save Files by clicking on “Next”.
  4. Select “Next” to begin the Install Wizard.
  5. Accept the terms in the license agreement and click “Next”.
  6. Start the Custom Setup by clicking on “Next”.
  7. Select “Install”.
  8. Select “Finish”.
  1. Open Vision under the Bentley icon.
  1. Add the following root folders: Inquiries, Packages, & Sales Orders by clicking on the root folder button and browsing to the appropriate folder in V:\ENG\YPS\ and picking each folder one at a time (Inquiries, Packages, & Sales Orders) and then picking OK.
  1. Click on the “Details“ button and the “Name” tab to complete this setup then choose a sales order to open.
  2. Enter “Supervisor” as the password and select the checkbox for “Save Password” then click on OK.
  1. Choose the “Documents” tab.
  1. Customize the AT_ini file with new Custom file path and add Orthos.
  2. Scale Equipment workpoint.dwg file by 25%.
  3. Change Equipment layers colors to “ByLayer”.
