ThebASPisintended to bean efficientandconstructivemethod forteams to monitorand guide their implementation ofattendance systems, procedures, andpractices.

ThebASPiscompleted collaborativelybya teamresponsibleformanagingthe implementationofattendance systemsin a school.ThebASPisdesigned tobecompleted at the beginning of the school year. Teams then usethe resultstoboth assessprogressofimplementationand guideaction planningfor theremainder of the school year.

ThebASPallows teams to:

1.Assess aspects of school’s attendance systems and procedures.

2.Gather information foraction planningtoward developingand implementingattendancesystemsand procedures.

INSTRUCTIONS:

As a team, go through each individual question on the survey and answer In Place, Needs Improvementor Not in Place as a team. For any item in which you score the school as Needs Improvement or Not in Place, the team needs to create action steps around how to improve the category to In Place.

List all Tier 1 team members that collaboratively completed the bASP.

Attendance data (school, grade level, classroom and subgroup data) is reviewed by the Universal Team at least once per month and drives action planning.
F. Tier I Attendance Expectations and Rules / In Place / Needs Improvement / Not in Place / Action Steps
School wide expectation that students are on time and prepared to learn is taught and reinforced.
Attendance data is discussed with students regularly.
Behavior Lesson Plans (Cool Tools) regarding attendance are taught regularly.
Strategies to share key features of attendance plan with family/community are implemented by the Universal Team.
