______/______Student participation in any DE program, as defined in the State Board Policy for Dual Enrollment Programs, is a student choice. Because this choice exists for students, it is the responsibility of the student and the parent/guardian to be knowledgeable about the program and its potential effects upon high school graduation, grade point averages, HOPE eligibility, and rank in class.

*The exception to this rule is Gwinnett Technical College. They do not have a GPA requirement. Most other schools require students to have 3.0 CORE GPA, which does NOT include electives. In our experience, a 3.2 cumulativeaverage ensures that students meet this requirement. However, please discuss with your individual counselor in the DE pre-check conference.
