Senators Rhea Korde and Niki Tripathi introduce the following bill:
A BILL
To eradicate tenure for public school teachers
BE IT ENACTED by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
Sec 1 Teacher tenure shall be eradicated in public schools.
Sec 2 Tenure shall be defined as a career status that provides job security to teachers who have successfully completed a period of time working for an institution.
Sec 3 This law shall be enforced by the Department of Economic and Educational Opportunities in conjunction with state and local boards of education.
Sec 4 The local Board of Education shall eliminate all existing teacher tenure by the end of the academic year by making quarter-yearly check-ups and conducting surveys to ensure the teachers deserve their position in the school.
Sec 5 There are no exceptions to this law.
Sec 6 Infractions of this law shall result in a fine for the school.
First Offense: A fine of $50,000
Second Offense: A fine of $500,000
Third Offense: A fine of $1,000,000 and a 10% reduction in government funding.
Sec 7 This law shall take effect at the beginning of the next academic year.
