COURSES IN TRANSLATION:

(Students take any two of the three 300-level courses. The Intro to Culture course, Seminar, and a Russian history course -- through the History department --are required for everyone. The seminar meets the upper-division writing requirement for Russian majors and should be taken after successful completion of the Writing Proficiency Assessment. The other courses listed here have no prerequisites.

THE RUSSIAN MINOR AND THE RUSSIAN STUDIES MINOR

Courses for the Russian Minor are taken through the MCLL department. This Minor requires the completion of two years of Russian language plus 12 credits of any of our upper-division classes. The Russian Studies Minor is interdisciplinary and so coursework is to be completed through a variety of departments. The co-directors of the Russian Studies minor are Robert Greene, Clint Walker, and Ona Renner-Fahey. This Minor requires second-year proficiency in the language, the Intro to Russian Culture course, one upper-division Russian history course, and 6 credits of other upper-division coursework (3 credits through MCLL and 3 from a third department/discipline.)
