Below are instructions and descriptions of all SNA-designed presentations available to SNA national leaders for use during annual state conference visits. All presentations and handouts listed below may be downloaded at www.schoolnutrition.org/LeadersPresent2015

What to Present:

As per the newly revised SNA policy, national leaders should plan to conduct the following during each state conference visit:

1. SNA Update/ Personal Leadership Journey Story at General Session (30 mins)

2. Installation of Officers (if applicable)

3. One Break-Out Session of the state association’s choice, from the list below (60 mins)

Also available to you in preparing for state visits, you will find:

4. Short Updates about SNA Programs (which can be used to briefly discuss specific topics)

5. Board Governance and SN Trends Presentations (which are available to you, but should not be used as break-out sessions on a regular basis)

6. Videos for use in enhancing your break-out session

A Library of Icebreakers is also available to you to kick-off your break-out sessions with a little fun and get to know your audience.

Using and Conducting the Presentations:

· Presentations have bulleted talking points in the notes section on each slide. National leaders should read the notes thoroughly before the presentation to become familiar with the content and the presentation. Notes are not to be read word-for-word during the session. They are a guide for national leaders.

· Videos are available for your use to enhance a presentation. The use of videos is completely optional at the discretion of the national leader and the availability of the adequate technology through the state association. If you plan to use a video, please test it out in the conference room/laptop you will be using prior to your presentation.

· If handouts are available for a break-out session, coordinate with the state association to ensure handouts will be printed and given during the session. SNA will not print and ship the handouts.

· It is recommended that 10 to 15 minutes be allotted for Q&A at the end of all break-out sessions.
