Physical theatre performers use their physical skills to tell a story or communicate a theme to the audience.

Throughout this unit you have participated in a range of workshops exploring various styles and approaches to physical theatre. You have also undertaken many observations and activities relating to cultural, behavioural and expressive movement through time, space and body.
TASK: / In small groups, your task is to rehearse, polish and performa physical theatre piece in response to the stimulus shown in class. In your preparation you will employ the Core Principles and Techniques of Physical Theatre.In particular:
Group Awareness, Physical Awareness, Energy and Focus
The Viewpoints: Time, Space and Body
Composition
You will need to complete a full tech run-through of your performance to meet monitoring requirements.
REMEMBER: / You are performing as a member of an ensemble… work together!
CONDITIONS:
Min. 2 weeks in class time will be provided however outside class time will also be required
Fulfil individual responsibilities/preparation for homework
Teacher consultation and rehearsals permitted
2 – 3 minutes performance time per person
