- Motion to approve October minutes by Shannon Barnes, second by Melissa Rowley. Motion passed unanimously.

- Thank you to the new members in attendance and to our new volunteer Unit Reps for attending todays meeting.
- Thank you to Mary Mahoney for hosting the Chili Cookoff.
- A big thank you to Jennifer Spore and her team for a great job on the Chili Cookoff.
- Shangri-La Tour – Nov 19th @ 930 am. Evite will be sent out on Nov 5th. Evite will include a link to purchase tickets. Tickets are $20. Park at the museum and shuttle to Shangri-La. Plan to arrive early, by 9 am. The event will be several hours long.

- Updates to the Facebook page and group will be coming soon.

- An updated roster will be on the website and serve as our Directory
Secretary: Shannon Barnes
- Shannon, Melissa, Julie and Kristen will be working together to clarify some issues with the membership roster, email and Evite distribution lists. Unit reps please check with members after the Minutes email has been sent out to make sure that they are receiving emails. Sometimes they are get lost in ‘junk mail’. Please let me know if anyone isn’t receiving their emails.

-Overall ticket sales $1,125.70
-Silent Auction $951.00
-Beer, wine & water donations $1,034.80
Parliamentarian: Steffanie Beissel
- Policies and Procedures meetings Nov. 18th and Dec 9th both at 8:30 am.
- Notebook requirements for Unit reps and Board members. Hard copies are required for events (i.e. the Chili Cookoff). Other documents, such as minutes and rosters, can be kept digitally if you would prefer.
- Please note that if you need to contact Steffanie to use her personal email at , as her KOSC Gmail account is still not accessible.
Specialty Groups: Beth Phillips
- Adventure Club:
-SUP (stand up paddle), Nov 5th 930 am -1130 am @ Kbay Marina. Board rental is available at the Marina.
-Turkey Trot, 10K, Nov 7th 7 am.
-Hike (TBA) Nov 19th
- Book Club: Meeting on Nov 4th to discuss first book, “Dad is Fat” by Jim Gaffigan. Next book to be chosen at meeting.
- Bunco: Nothing Scheduled at this time.
- Coffee Chat: Needs a facilitator!
- Golf Club: Planning a tee time at MCBH Fri, Nov 13th. Always play best ball scramble so it is fun!
- Social Dining:
-Mon, Nov 16th at Noon at Champa Thai Kailua. Evite sent out to RSVP.
-Nothing scheduled for Dec.
-Dinner event in Jan!
- Gourmet Club: Needs a facilitator!
- Play Group:
-Botanical Gardens to feed the ducks on Wed, Nov 11th. Evite will be sent out.
-Beach day at Secret Beach on Nov. 20th.
-Playgroup has aFBpage. KOSC Play Group.

- Member bags are available at monthly meetings.
- Membership is always changing. As of todays meeting we have 79 members.
Newsletter: Star-Maria Brooks
- First issue will resume in November. (Vol 15, Issue 1)
- Deadline to submit information to be incorporated in newsletter is the 15th of every month
- Issues will be monthly and will include (in no particular order):
-Letter from the President
-Upcoming Events (Specialty Groups, Activities, etc..)
-Highlights on past events (i.e. Chili Cookoff)
-Base Events
-KOSC Executive Board/Board Members
-How to contact KOSC
-Unit Reps

- Articles/Information should be submitted via email:
- Newsletter submissions to the Executive Board for final review within 10 days of the 15th deadline. Once reviewed and approved by Executive Board, the Newsletter will be distributed by the Secretary and posted on the website.
Advisors & Unit Reps:
- Mary asked if the layout of the Chili Cookoff was well received, if there should be any changes to the layout or the amount of chili entries.
- Lisa in regard to the Ornament Exchange at Helen Toolans home at Pearl Harbor asked if Thursday was still a good night or if Sat would be better. Most felt Thursday was fine and better due to holiday parties and family time. It was also suggested that we carpool, Ride Share or possiblyrent a van(s) through ITT since parking will be limited and it is quite a drive for people living on the Windward side.
