COLT Total Order to Delivery Overview
Ordering the service
Complete the order form fully and accurately. COLT will contact you to clarify any details that are incomplete.
Physical Site
Provide access to your site so that your new connection can be installed.
You must ensure that there is both sufficient space and enough power outlets available for the COLT-supplied Integrated Access Device (IAD). The IAD measures 43.8 cm x 41.7 cm x 4.5 cm. The power unit requires AC 120/230 V. Or DC -24/-60 V. The power outlet must not be overloaded with other devices.
The IAD requires an operating environment with temperature ranges between 0-400C and humidity of less than 95%, non-condensing.
The cooling fan of the IAD emits a low humming noise similar to a computer fan, and should be housed where this noise will not be disruptive.
Physical Connectivity
COLT requires that you have your PBX maintainer present on your site to coordinate the installation of your PBX to the IAD.
Ensure your PBX maintainer tests any devices connected to the COLT Total service via the PBX or analogue interfaces on the IAD.
If you purchased the email service as part of COLT Total, you will need to reconfigure your email clients on each computer to support the service.
We will provide instructions on how to do this.
Data
Provide either a 10BASE-T or 100 BASE-T Ethernet network (LAN) or one standalone computer with a 10BASE-T or 100BASE-T Ethernet card.
Provide one RJ45 CAT 5 patch cable that is long enough to connect your network hub to the COLT IAD.
If you are connecting a single PC to the IAD, you will need a crossover cable of sufficient length to connect to the IAD.
