Iron Buck Tournament Outline

This is an event outline for a non-sanctioning archery body Iron Buck tournament:

Participants:

  • Two groups
  • Youth - Male and female, ages 8-14 years
  • Adult - Male and female, 15 and older

Legal:

  • All participants must sign the Bow and Barrel Sportsmen Center:
  • Customer Safety and Rental Agreement
  • Assumptions of Risk, Release of all Claims and Indemnity Agreement
  • Hold Harmless Agreement and Limits of Liability
  • In the event that a participant is a minor, a guardian is required to sign the above mentioned documents. Guardian is required to be on-site during the activity as long as the participant remains in the competition.
  • All participants agree that the usage of names and photographs is at the liberty of Bow and Barrel to use for any web or social media promotion of the event.

Date / Times / Location:

  • Event is scheduled for 08/29/15
  • Youth group starts at 11:00 AM, adults to follow
  • Adult group starts at 11:00 AM with rules, shooting after youth group is complete
  • Bow and Barrel Sportsmen Center located at 22940 Harlan Lane, Saint Robert, MO. Outdoor archery and deck area. Snack bar and rest room facilities available.
  • Tournament may be rescheduled due to weather, no refunds are allowed.
  • In the event of an interruption during the tournament due to weather, it will be at the discretion of the tournament official to make decision on how best to proceed.

Fees:

  • Youth – Entry fee is $5.00, and there is a one chance rebuy-in for $5.00. The rebuy is only valid up to and including the 10 yard distance.
  • Adult – Entry fee is $15.00, and there is a one chance rebuy-in for $10.00. The rebuy is only valid up to and including the 20 yard distance.

Equipment:

  • Archery bow
  • Authorized
  • Movable sights are allowed
  • Not authorized
  • No stabilizers over 12”
  • No lens in sight or peep
  • No Range Finders
  • No Magnification

Target(s):

  • Iron target with a deer silhouette and anx” hole in the critical organs area.

  • 2nd Place Hoyt Charger, Quest Amp, or $500 Bow and Barrel gift card

Rules / Guidelines:

  • All groups
  • Practice
  • Multiple lanes open for open shooting at standard archery targets at fixed distances one hour prior to event start time
  • First come first serve
  • Each shooter must rotate after five practice shots
  • Ground level shooting, under the deck
  • One minute time limit for each shot, single shot
  • As long as the tip of the arrow makes it through the target and stick, participant can move to the next round
  • All tournament decisions are the responsibility of the tournament official, there is no format for filing a grievance and all decisions are final.
  • Youth
  • Target starting distance is 10 yards
  • Target moves 10 yards for each successful round of participants
  • Maximum distance is 40 yards
  • Participants will shoot up to 5 times at this final distance
  • After 5 times, a standard target will be setup at 40 yards
  • 5 shots, standard scoring using a NRA B-16
  • Adult
  • Target starting distance is 20 yards
  • One $15 re-buy will be allowed at the 20 yard line if 1st shot is missed
  • Target moves 10 yards for each successful round of participants
  • Maximum distance is 60 yards
  • Participants will shoot up to 5 times at this final distance
  • After 5 times, a standard target will be setup at 60 yards
  • 5 shots, standard scoring using a NRA B-16
