Reach is the UK’s leading skills-based volunteering charity. We help great organisations to find pro-bono expertise or new trustees, and talented individuals to find rewarding ways to donate their skills. In this way, we help hundreds of voluntary organisations every year to build their capacity and strengthen their governance.
It is an exciting time to join Reach: following the launch of our new online service last year, we are now in a position to make a step-change, to scale up significantly and create a much bigger impact for the voluntary sector. In addition to growing our core service, we are also developing and growing our TrusteeWorks Premium Service which provides charities with extra support in their board recruitment.
Role Description
You will be on the frontline of TrusteeWorks, Reach’s popular trustee recruitment service, delivering and coordinating executive searches as well as administrative support in order to ensure that charity boards have access to the best talent in the market. You will provide first class customer service and executive recruitment, including headhunting, advertising and bespoke marketing materials to awide variety of UK charities. The core of this role is understanding the unique needs and requirements of our clients and introducing talented professionals to fill their skills gaps. In addition to this,you will provide ad hoc support to the service delivery and marketing teams, making this a dynamic and varied position well suited to someone looking to gain experience in a variety of fields whilstdeepening your understanding of the charity sector.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Undertake detailed searches for Trustees using a variety of sources and ensuringcandidate profiles match those of the specification.
- Liaise with candidates and clients, managing their respective expectations.
- Preparing regular progress reports for clients and TW Manager.
- Handle all advert enquiries regarding Board recruitment and maintain accurate information on suitable candidates.
- Conduct relevant research for creating marketing materials to promote both our client organisations and their trustee vacancies.
- Write advert copy and place on relevant jobs boards.
- Assist the Reach Service and Marketing Teams as required with tasks such as vetting new role and volunteer registrations, advising charities on scoping volunteer roles, assisting with marketing campaigns, representing Reach at events, and any other areas where additional support might be required.

Experience & knowledge
- Interest in the voluntary sector(Essential)
- Experience of carrying out a wide range of administrative duties to support a team (Essential)
- Great customer service skills: able to manage customer expectations in a professional and courteous manner as well as representing the friendly and supportive Reach ethos to volunteers and charities.(Essential)
- Highly organised with good time management skills; able to prioritise tasks to cope with fluctuating needs.(Essential)
- Ability to build relationships effectively with people at all levels, and in particular with senior executives and non-executives.(Essential)
- An excellent communicator, with a friendly and professional telephone manner as well as the ability to write engaging copy and correspondence.
- Great team player: able to work well with a diverse team which includes staff and volunteers.(Essential)
- Self-motivated and an ability to use own initiative. (Essential)
- Flexible, adaptable and a quick learner
- Positive, can-do attitude and an aptitude for problem solving and negotiation.(Essential)

- Experience of executive search and selection, preferably within the charity sector and at Board level or demonstrable experience in recruiting senior staff (Desirable)
Skills, abilities & qualities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some knowledge of databases and CMS
- Genuine enthusiasm to learn, and a passion and commitment to our cause of championing trusteeship and all things 'skilled volunteering'
