Preliminary Procedure
• / Remove the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
• / Remove the console upper trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console Upper .
1 / Front Floor Console Screw (Qty:2)
Tighten: 2N·m (18lbin)
2 / Front Floor Console Nut (Qty1)
Tighten: 2N·m (18lbin)
3 / Front Floor Console Assembly
Seat Replacement - Front Bucket
Recommended to disconnect battery when removing passenger seat and console. The passenger seat contains a sensor for the SIR system, and under the console is the main control module (SDM) for the air bag system. Just a recommendation.

Tip Disconnect the front seat electrical connector, and passenger presence system connector, if equipped.
Trim Plate Replacement - Console Upper (Manual Transmission)

1 / Console Upper Trim Plate
Tip Shifter bezel and console upper trim plate must be remove as one assembly.
2 / Manual Shift Handle Screw
Tip
- Lift the console upper trim plate enough to access the shift handle retaining screw.
- Apply threadlock GMP/N1234593 (CanadianP/N10953488) to the shift lever set screw threads before reinstalling.

- Apply the parking brake.
- Place the shift lever in NEUTRAL position.

Tighten 4N·m (35lbin)
2 / Upper Trim Plate Console--Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console Upper
3 / Shift Lever Handle
Tip The console shift bezel retainers must be released from the underside of the console upper trim plate.
