SOUTHWEST REGION BOB VESPER PLANNER OF THE YEAR AWARD

The annual Southwest Region Bob Vesper Planner of the Year Award is the highest and most distinguished honor conferred by the Southwest Region.

SPECIAL NOTE: The [YEAR] Bob Vesper recipient will be submitted to International by the region for the [YEAR] International Planner of the Year award and the recipient must agree to provide International with the information required in May [YEAR] for consideration in this process.The Region will assist in this effort.

Qualifications of Candidates

·  The candidate must be a CEFPI member in good standing.

·  The candidate must have been actively engaged in one or more of the professional areas identified in the CEFPI Bylaws as being essential to qualify for CEFPI Southwest Region membership.

·  The candidate must not have previously received the Southwest Planner of the Year Award.

·  The selection of candidates for final consideration will consist of no more than three qualified candidates who have submitted complete packages.

Submittal Materials:

Submittal packets must be submitted to the CEFPI SW Region Awards Chair no later than [DAY OF WEEK, MONTH DAY, YEAR]. Requested materials will include:

1.  The nominee's current resume or vita outlining their educational background and professional experience.

2.  A description of the activity that the individual has been nominated for clearly identifying the nominee's role in the activity.

3.  A statement on how the candidate's work embodies the values and mission of CEFPI and has advanced the development of effective learning environments.

Format:

1.  The application materials must be submitted on CD with one hard copy of information that is on the CD. Submittal shall not contain more than 10 single sided 8½” x 11” pages.

2.  All submission documents are to be received by the Awards Chair on or before [MONTH DAY, YEAR], for consideration.

3.  No materials are to be forwarded directly to the Jury.

Jury and Presentation:

The Southwest Region Planner of the Year Committee makes a selection from submitted nominations. The Planner of the Year jury consists of the Current President as the Chairperson, and three members in the region appointed by the current President.

The presentation of the [YEAR] Bob Vesper Planner of the Year Award will be made at the Annual International CEFPI Conference.
