A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXTEND THE APPRECIATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE SOUTH CAROLINA CHIROPRACTIC ASSOCIATION FOR THE SERVICES ITS MEMBERS PROVIDED TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY DURING THE 2003 LEGISLATIVE SESSION THROUGH THE “CHIROPRACTOR OF THE WEEK” PROGRAM.

Whereas, the South Carolina Chiropractic Association is a professional association representing three hundred doctors of chiropractic in active practice in South Carolina, chiropractic assistants, chiropractic students, and affiliates of the chiropractic profession; and

Whereas, these members of the South Carolina Chiropractic Association work tirelessly to meet the health care needs of many South Carolinians and educate the public and our state’s leaders about the benefits of chiropractic care; and

Whereas, a number of legislators with minor neck and back pain have sought relief from local Columbia chiropractors during past legislative sessions; and

Whereas, many of these lawmakers are treated regularly by chiropractors in their respective districts; and

Whereas, in an effort to make chiropractic treatment more readily available to members of our General Assembly who cannot always make time in their busy schedules for an office visit, the South Carolina Chiropractic Association offered on a weekly basis minor adjustments through its State House “Chiropractor of the Week” program. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, extend their appreciation to the South Carolina Chiropractic Association for their services its members provided to the General Assembly during the 2003 Legislative Session through its “Chiropractor of the Week” program.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the South Carolina Chiropractic Association.
