Squad Attack

A: support, COB, Demo

B: assault, EPW, A&L

We are at the Cpy AA. Following rehearsals and PCI, we will LD at ____, heading directly towards OBJ ____ along azimuth ___° for ___ m in a SCFW with A-team leading, B-team trailing, and me in between. About 50m from LD, we will stop, form our 360 with A-team taking 12-side security and B-team taking 6-side, and conduct a SILLS halt, where I and only I will take off my helmet and we will all silently observe the environs for about 30 sec; the SILLS halt will be complete when I put my helmet back on and we will continue on towards the objective. Every 100-or-so m, the ATL will point out ERPs at distinct, defensible locations, and we will all note the location with hand-and-arm signals.

About 100 m from the objective, we will establish our ORP, with A-team taking 12-side security, and B-team taking 6-side. From the ORP, I will call for security from the reserve element to secure our rucks and conduct a LR. For the LR, I will take ATL, who will be in charge of support-by-fire, and leave a WARNO with BTL, who will be in charge of the ORP in our absence. The ATL and I will scout out the best places to place our assault and support lines, while BTL secures the ORP and coordinates the piling of everyone's rucks in the center. On our return, we will pick up and move to our planned locations, ATL leading A-team to the support position, and I leading B-team to the assault line. Immediately after A-team is on line and behind cover, they will fire upon and suppress the objective. Once B-team is set to begin assaulting the objective, I will call for A-team to shift fire with one whistle blast. Once B-team is within a clear LOS of the objective, I will call for A-team to lift fire with two whistle blasts. B-team and I will then assault through the objective, securing the enemy's weapons as we move past, and LOA about 20-30 m past the objective. Once we call LOA, A-team will then assault through and LOA.

Upon the second team's LOA, we will all form a 360 around the objective, with the first team to assault through (B) taking 6-side and the second team (A) taking 12-side, while TLs give me ACE reports. Once I receive the ACE reports and security is set, I will call for EPW and A&L as needed. The EPW team(s) will give me intel as per PIR ASAP. Once EPW and A&L is complete, I will call on the Demo team to demo the enemy equipment, and our movement back to the ORP will go as follows: assault team leaves on "fire-in-the-hole 1", support team leaves on "fire-in-the-hole 2", and the Demo team and I leave on "fire-in-the-hole 3." I will then send up our SITREP and ask for further guidance.

Bunker Assault

A: support, COB, A&L

B: assault, EPW, Demo/KOB

For the LR, I will take ATL, who will be in charge of support-by-fire, as well as one person on the Demo/KOB team, and leave a WARNO with BTL, who will be in charge of the ORP in our absence. The LR will scout out the best places to place our assault and support lines, while BTL secures the ORP and coordinates the piling of everyone's rucks in the center. On our return, we will pick up and move to our planned locations, ATL leading A-team to the support position, and I leading B-team to the assault line. One minute after A-team is on line and behind cover, they will fire upon and suppress the objective for one minute. At that time, the Demo team will sneak to the rear of the bunker. When the Demo team is within sight of the objective, A-team will immediately shift fire (give ATL whistle if needed). The Demo team will then grenade and clear the bunker as practiced, and this will be the signal for A-team to lift fire. B-team and I will then assault through the objective, pick up the Demo team and secure the enemy's weapons as we move past, and LOA about 20-30 m past the objective.

Move to Contact

A: COB, Demo

B: EPW, A&L

While in the ORP, I will have the TLs coordinate the grounding of our rucks in the center while maintaining 360 security, while I call for the reserve element to secure our ORP when we move out to the objective. We will all move towards the objective in bounding overwatch, with A-team to the left side, B-team to the right, and I in the center. Once we make hostile contact, anyone from the team that comes under fire will shout out their size and direction, so that I can call up our disposition to higher and lead the other element into a flanking position should we have the advantage. Should we have the advantage, we will conduct the standard battle drill 1A: I will shout out for one team to flank around under the support of the other until I call for shift fire with one whistle blast. Once my team advances close enough, I will call for the other team to lift fire with two whistle blasts as we assault through to the LOA 20-30 m past the objective. Upon our LOA, the other team will then assault through and LOA.

Squad Point Reconnaissance

A: security, COB, A&L

B: recon, EPW, Demo

About 150 m from the objective, we will establish our ORP, with A-team taking security for the entire ORP, and B-team meeting me in the center. B-team and I will then ground their rucks in the center and finish camouflaging. Before we leave, I will leave a GOTWA with ATL who will be responsible for the ORP, then B-team will follow me to the RP. From the release point, I will leave a GOTWA with everyone on B-team, and B-team will split up into their R&S teams and conduct their recon, probing the objective twice and noting gathered intel as per PIR. When the R&S teams complete their recon, they will meet up with me back at the RP so I can consolidate and verify the intel before I send it up. B-team and I will then head back to the ORP for further guidance from higher. Note: the terrain is very familiar to the enemy, so compromise of one of the teams is likely; memorize those passwords, as we will likely be using them.

Squad Ambush

A: COB, Demo

B: EPW, A&L

For the LR, I will take the security elements (one from each team), the claymore carrier, the MG, and ATL. I will leave a GOTWA with BTL who will be in charge of the ORP, as well as a GOTWA for the LR, then the LR will scout out the ambush point, find the best spot for our KZ and special weapons, and set up flank security, the claymore, and the MG. I will leave the MG (or claymore carrier) in charge of the objective, and the security elements will report any changes in the situation to that person in my absence. ATL and I will then head back to the ORP and pick up the rest of the squad. We will file into the objective with A-team in front, B-team in the rear, and me in between. A-team will then line up on the side further from the ORP while B-team drops their line behind me when I reach the center. I will then take control of the claymore, place myself next to the MG, and radio in that our ambush is set, while everyone unsafes their weapon and puts their heads down (with the exception of myself and the flanks). When the enemy is in sight, the security on that side will signal their arrival with a pigeon coo. When the enemy reaches the kill zone, I will initiate the ambush by setting off the claymore while kicking the MG to open fire; at that time everyone will to fire for 20 seconds at 1 round/sec at any movement within their field of fire. After 20 seconds of fire, we will wait for 20 seconds to ensure the enemy's neutralization. If there is still movement in the KZ, fire 10 more seconds into the KZ, reload if needed, and wait another 20 sec. After we are sure of the enemy's neutralization, I will call for the team opposite their direction of origin to assault through the KZ (diagonally, making sure nobody crosses paths). At the same time, the other team will pick up, turn around, and form a 180 semicircle to the rear. Both securities will remain in place the whole time, and the MG and I will remain in position to cover the assault team's rear.
