Greetings:

Be it known that, copies of this PROCLAMATION will be provided to the following: All Elected General Conference Grand Court Officers, Past General Conference Grand Court Officers, General Conference Grand Special Deputy and Deputies, all Grand Chairpersons, all Most Ancient Grand Matrons/Grand Most Ancient Matrons and Jurisdictional Secretaries and a copy placed on the website.

As we venture into this New Year, this administration will continue to perform our duties to the best of our ability. Companion John Fuller and myself, first give thanks to our Lord and Saviour for sustaining us to see 2016.

By virtue of the power and authority invested in me, I, Anita L. Davis, General Conference Grand Most Ancient Matron along with General Conference Grand Most Worthy Joshua John E. Fuller, do hereby proclaim the convening of the 94th Annual Session of the General Conference of Grand Courts, Heroines of Jericho, of the United States and Bahamas, Prince Hall Affiliation, Incorporated, to be held at theLos Angeles Airport Marriott, 5855 West Century Boulevard,Los Angeles, Californiacommencing from July 1, 2016 through July 5, 2016. So let’s gear up and get ready to go.

Our Host Jurisdiction is Prince Hall Grand High Court of California. As we travel to California, the Most Ancient Grand Matron Schurniece M. Thompson and Most Worthy Grand Joshua Christopher Stewart and their members are planning an exciting stay for the members.

  1. Documents from Grand Secretary – HPGCGMAM Willie Clay

you will be receiving all of the forms necessary for the Jurisdictions to be able to attend our Annual Session from HPGCGMAM Willie Clay, GCG Secretary. Please ensure that all items are taken care of prior to you arriving at the session. The assessment for all Past Grands is $4.00, also, as a reminder the assessment for Melineaze E. Thompson Youth Department is $100.00. Your credential will be based upon the information that the Grand Secretary receives, so please make sure that your Credential Forms are proper when submitting them.

  1. Convention Information – PGCGMAM Arlene Bolden-Flowers

The packets for our Annual Convention have been sent from our Grand Coordinator, PGCGMAM Arlene Bolden-Flowers. Please adhere to all of the deadlines and requests.

The pre-registration is one-hundred and fifty ($150.00) dollars and On-Site will be one-hundred and seventy-five ($175.00) dollars.

If you need to cancel and/or make changes to your room reservation PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE HOTEL DIRECTLY. Contact PGCGMAM Flowers to take care of any situation and any other problems that may arise. Once you try to handle it and it does not work for you, this committee cannot resolve the issue.

Also, for any member who is interested and has not received a packet, please inform them to go on the website at and they will be able to print all the materials out.

We ask that you give your full supportto the Jurisdiction of Californiawith their Souvenir Journal by placing an Ad.

For all those seniors, you must include your birthday on your registration form so that we will have an accurate account for those who will be eligible to attend the Spinning Angels Luncheon.

All committees are required to submit a preliminary report to me no later than May 31, 2016. Copies of these reports will be included in the kits and must have your official signature not a computer generated one.

All final financial reports/addendums will be given on Grand Session floor.

All of the General Conference Grand Deputies should be submitting their sick, distress, death and other circumstances concerning the Past Most Ancient Grand Matrons, Past Worthy Grand Joshuas and Elected Line Officers and their families in your respective Jurisdictions.

All of the Grand Appointed Officers should have received their letter from GCGSA Wrotten with the guidelines and request for this committee. Please govern yourself accordingly.

  2. Eye Glasses for Lions Club - GCGMWJ John Fuller - 707-552-3880

Our GCGMWJ Fuller has sent letters to all the Worthy Grand Joshuas/Grand Worthy Joshuas of the Jurisdictions requesting them to assist in the collection of your old eye glasses and frames of all sizes from children to adult. They will be donated to the Lions Club who will be able to help those less fortunate with providing them with glasses. This donation will be done in California. Please govern yourself accordingly.

  1. One Night Stay Drawing – GCGVAM Kay Anderson – 937-667-0880

The chances from this committee will be available for sale at our convention, however, if you would like to receive them prior to the session, contact GCGVAM Anderson. The costs of the chances are 1@$2.00 or 3@$5.00. The drawing will be done on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 and the winner will win a one night at our 2017 Session. Please support her when you arrive on site.

  1. Bountiful Basket Raffle – GCGSM Jackie Levingston – 254-729-3270

GCGSM Levingston has sent the chances and guideline to each Jurisdiction. We are asking for all of you to do your best. Hopefully, all Jurisdictions will have a basket to be put on display and the excitement if your Jurisdiction wins for highest ticket sales, first one to report, and most unique basket. The special basket of the conference raffles will sell for five ($5.00) dollars a sleeve. Looking forward to seeing the various baskets on display.

GCGJA Casey has sent the letters, Guidelines and Application for your selection of the “Unsung Hero”, please adhere to information and deadline for submitting.

HPGCGMAM Price and all the Honorary Past General Conference Officers are working hard to raise the funds so that we will be able to purchase a sound system for the Conference. If you would like to support them please forward your donation to HPGCGMAM Price with checks/money orders made payable to GCGC Heroines of Jericho.

  1. Lap and Wrap Blankets for Senior Home– 610-237-9034

As stated in the first proclamation, I am requesting that the Jurisdictions reach out to the talent and have members donate crochet, knit, quilted or sewn blankets or shawls for the senior women and men. These items will be donated to a Nursing Facility while at our session in Los Angeles. If each Jurisdiction donates at least 3-4 we will be able to make a nice presentation. I am requesting that each Jurisdiction inform me by way of your Deputy approximately how many you will be donating so that enough prayer cards are made. If you have any questions please contact me. I am requesting that you please make a concerted effort to support this project.

The Youth Outreach program will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.; the theme this year is: What I can do personallyto sustain andmake a difference in the world?

All information is being sent by Heroine Bolden and you must follow all the directions and deadline for submission as indicated by her. Remember this is governed and judged by age groups. We are requesting everyone to be in attendance and give support to our youth.

The applications are available from HPGCGMAM Pennington, if you have not received one in your Jurisdiction. Please make sure that the student has completed all phases of the application prior to you sealing, signing and forwarding to Heroine Pennington. All completed applications must be submitted to HPGCGMAM Pennington no later than June 15, 2016. The grant will be presented at our Annual Banquet on Monday, July 4, 2016. Any incomplete application will not be considered.

All packets have been sent by PMAGM Evans to the Jurisdictions. If you have not received it please contact Heroine Evans. You must adhere to all deadlines. We are requesting each Jurisdiction try to participate by having a representative for Queen/Lady In Waiting. If you are unable to have a Queen/Lady In Waiting we ask that you still try to make a donation of one-hundred ($100.00) dollars to this committee.

The Queen/Lady In Waiting will have final turn-in on Sunday, July 3, 2016 immediately following the Memorial Service. The location will be noted in the Registration Room.

PMAGM Sheppard has sent information and ad contracts to all Jurisdictions. The costs of the ads are twenty ($20.00) dollars for half page only. This is to enhance your chance for reigning. Please support your Queen/Lady In Waiting. You must adhere to her directions and deadlines.

On Saturday at 1:00 P.M. we will have a medical symposium. Please come prepared to receive interesting information pertaining to your healthconducted by our own Dr. Ware and the GCGC First Aid and Health Unit.

This committee is soliciting donation of items showing the talents of your membership to sell at our Conference. Please contact PMAGM Patton if you will be able to assist them with donations. If you would like to purchase a corsage, you must pre-order prior to the session.

  1. Constitution and by-laws

Constitution and By-laws are still available for sale. Contact GCG Secretary Clay or you may purchase them at the session.

  1. Directories

The General Conference Directory has been completed and ready for sale. The cost is five ($5.00) dollars, please pre-order the number of copies that you wish and payment can be mailed to HPGCGMAM Clay and they will be mailed to you prior to June 1, 2016 or you may bring your monies to the session and pick them up there.

  1. Deputies

All of the Annual Reports pertaining to your Jurisdiction activities and a listing of your deceased Past Grand Officers are to be in the hands of the Special Deputy no later than May 31, 2016 no exceptions. It is imperative that you adhere to the deadline.

HPGCGMAM Ruth C. Smith, Historian has requested from each Jurisdiction a historical account. Please govern yourselvesaccordingly. Remember our history is stored at Moorland-Springam Library at Howard University, Washington, DC.

The Scholarship Committee is vital, for without the funds raised through their endeavors we would be unable to make the donations to the students attending higher learning, so please send and/or mail your donations of at least one-hundred ($100.00) dollars to this committee.
