Dear Orchestra Director,
The GISA All-Select Performances (Band, Chorus & Orchestra) will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 hosted by Woodward Academy in College Park. We hope that you are planning to participate in the GISA All-Select Orchestra. Rehearsals will take place on Saturday, November 2nd. Please note that November 2nd is an SAT TEST DATE. If your student(s) are already scheduled to take the SAT on this date – PLEASE DO NOT NOMINATE them for All-Select this year! Performances will take place on Sunday, November 3rd. This year’s Orchestra Clinician will be announced soon.
The All-Select Orchestra will consist of students in grades 9 through 12.
NOMINATIONS should be submitted by completing the enclosed NOMINATION FORM by entering the requested information, SAVE the form as YOUR SCHOOL NAME and EMAIL to Mr. Chris Johnson at: and (CC) COPY to Robin Aylor at:
PLEASE DO NOT nominate students who have not submitted their Participation Agreement Form.
Nominations must be received no later than Friday, September 27, 2013. Under no circumstances will students be allowed to participate in this event without membership in the appropriate school ensemble, and without a chaperone being present. Students and chaperones are responsible for their own hotel arrangements.
You will receive an email notification listing the students that are selected. At that time you will receive an INVOICE and be required to remit a non-refundable registration fee of $45 by Friday, October 18th, for each student making a commitment to participate.
