Classroom Expectations:

Be on Time:

  • Be in assigned seat and quiet when the bell rings
  • Being late to class will result with:

1st a reminder, 2nd a warning, 3rd a detention

Be Prepared and Productive:

  • Bring all needed materials to class daily (binder, pen/pencil)
  • Be ready to be involved in class activities as soon as class begins.
  • Being unprepared and unproductive will result with:

1st a reminder, 2nd a warning, 3rd a detention

Be Respectful:

  • To students, teacher, presenters, classroom and the course material
  • Participate in classroom discussions. Raise your hand!
  • Do not talk when other students or the teacher are talking

What you will need for class:

Health binder with 25-50 sheets of loose-leaf paper

Pocket folder

Package of dividers(optional but strongly recommended)

  • Labeled: Bell Ringers, Intro. to Health, Decision Making, Bullying, Tobacco, Alcohol, Drugs, Family Life

Pen and/or pencil

Grading Policy:

Semester Average will be determined by:

  • Homework /In Class Activities: 25%
  • Test/Quizzes/Projects: 75%

Homework Policy:

Homework is due at the beginning of the class of the stated due date.

Assignments not handing in on time will lose 5 points for each day late.

No homework will be accepted after 2 days of the stated due date.

bell-ringers:

Bell-ringers are to be completed each day upon entering the classroom

It is your responsibility to keep track of bell-ringers even if absent!

Bell- Ringers will be collected every week for a grade.

Absent from Class:

The student is responsible for:

  • Turning in any homework/projects that were due on date missed labeled “Absent” in mailbox on my computer desk.
  • Any notes given in class-see a classmate first or ask the teacher.
  • Missed assignments or projects-Check class mailbox and teacher.

Missed Tests:

  • Made up within 24 hours of returning to school or lose 10 points per day off the attained grade
  • Scheduled by teacher and student upon return to class.
  • Completed in study hall, during lunch, or after school.

A Note to Students and Parents:
