Recruitment for Silkroads Member
Privileges:
A two-week visit to France around Feb 2012, focusing on industrial and cultural aspect. Most part of the fee will be covered by French side, including meals, accommodation (home stay in French family), transportation and part of air tickets.
Responsibilities:
1. Organize Chinese session for French members during their stay in Shanghai.
2. Do market research and technical report assigned by French companies.
3. Organize workshop or campus talk for Chinese companies.
4. Establish the relationship with companies,manage the partnership and raise the sponsorship.
5. Build connections between current members and Silkroads Alumni.
Requirements:
1. Students with engineering/science background in Fudan (graduate later than 2012 preferred)
2.Fluent both in English and Chinese (French is preferred).
3. Demonstrated leadership capability and teamwork skill.
4. High intellectual curiosity, energy and personal integrity.
5. Passionate in exploring Chinese and French culture and industry.
6. Students with good academic performance are preferred.
7. Students with experience in students’ organization or internship in companies are preferred.

We will give you a timely response when we finish our review of your application. Eligible applicants will be informed of a further interview to be selected as members. The members who are able to visit France will be decided through overall evaluation combining your past experience, your performance in organizing the incoming Chinese session and the final interview.

Recruitment for Host Family
French students’ visit to Shanghai will last one month in July/August (depends) and one week in October/November (specific time has not yet been confirmed). The interaction with them would offer the home stay host anunprecedented exposure to French culture and some intercultural new friends.
We Need You:
1. Have great interests in French culture, language, enterprise or further study in France.
2. Capable of communication with French students in English. (French students master excellent English).
3. Provide French students with accommodation, and if possible breakfast could be better.
You Need Us:
1. Gain a deeper insight into French culture, language, enterprise or further study in France.
2. Join in different sessions, such as company visit, lecture, intercultural interaction and farewell party to mention a few.
3. Get a deeper understanding of Silkroads with privilege of selecting as a member for exchange to French if possible
We Promise:
1. The French students come from Paris Tech, who are well-selected excellent students.
2.Silkroads will arrange the activities in the daytime for the French students, which won’t trouble the host family.
3.Silkroads will help with the problem during the home stay.
4.Silkroads will inform the host family with the detail of the French students and initiate a two-way selection after the students are confirmed by the French side.
