Doctor Who – The Adventure Games Report a Bug

Please answer the following questions with as much detail as possible to help enable our technical team to identify and resolve any issues. Once complete, attach the form to an email and send to .

A note for our younger viewers: if you're under 16 years of age, it may
be best to ask for help from your parent/guardian to answer some of the
following sections:
1. In which episode/game does this bug occur? (City of the Daleks, Blood
of the Cybermen, TARDIS, The Shadows of the Vashta Nerada or all four?)
2. What platform are you using - PC or Mac?
3. How often does the issue occur?
- Every time
- Frequently
- Sometimes
- Happened once
4. When did you install the game?
5. From the following options, how would you describe your computer?
- Great for playing games
- Powerful
- Okay for internet and simple games
- Not very powerful
- Quite old
6. At which point in the game does the issue occur?
- When you launch the game (click on TARDIS icon)
- When you install the game (click on DW icon)
- When you are moving within the game (as the Doctor or Amy)
- When you are watching a cut scene (animated scene involving no
interaction)
- When you complete an act (just before or just after the loading
screen),
Alternatively, if the game is still working right now, press Escape/Esc
and record the current Objective below...
If none of the above, we'd appreciate as much detail as you can think of
about when the problem comes up:
7. Any advice on how we can reproduce the problem? (For example, if it
only occurs when you select a certain option whilst playing as the
Doctor, please let us know.)
8. What do you see when the problem occurs?
- Black screen - with audio
- Black screen - no audio
- Windows error message (please send details)

9. Since the Adventure Games have launched, we've made a number of minor
updates in order to improve game-play experience. This has resulted in a
number of different versions being released i.e. v1.0 to v2.0. This is
standard gaming practice as newer versions are released as issues are
discovered and dealt with. By going to a file in your C drive, you
should be able to see which version you're using. This detail will help
us deal with the problem!
So, if you're experiencing problems with one of the PC games, please let
us know which version you have installed. This can be found by searching
for the following file...

10. Almost done! Thanks for bearing with us! Just one more to go, and
although this one looks scary it's really quite easy. So we can learn
more about your computer and diagnose potential problems it would be
very useful if you could provide some technical data. To do this...
- On a PC select the Windows Start button followed by Run, type
'dxdiag' into the prompt and wait a few seconds
- If it's the first time for you to do this, you will be prompted to
answer a question about using DirectX Diagnostic Tool. At this stage,
say 'yes'
- A new window should appear, select the 'Save all Info' button and save
the text file created to a convenient place
- Please attach this text file to your email response
