Disney Trip Information

Dear Parents and Students,
It’s hard to believe that the Disney trip is almost here. Here’s some important info:
1. Trip Meeting: We will be having an informational meeting regarding the Band/Orchestra trip on Wednesday, March 1st at 7:00pm at the High School auditorium. Please plan on having your son/daughter present, and at least one parent is encouraged to attend. We will be providing an overview of the trip, and will be going over logistics, packing information, airport information, general expectations and codes of conduct for students.
2. Meal Vouchers: (2/14 DEADLINE) Students are responsible for the purchase of their own meals on the trip. The may use cash or credit card at the dining establishments at the Disney parks/hotel, or may use meal vouchers. We will be ordering these meal vouchers in advance of the trip for those who elect to order them. This is not required, however the voucher is a really good deal for the money. It is usually much cheaper than using cash. Disney gives two kinds of meal vouchers: a Breakfast one, and a Lunch/Dinner one. We will only order Lunch/Dinner vouchers because many students will only order a bagel, yogurt, or something small for breakfast and cash/credit card seems to be the best way to go for this.
The Lunch/Dinner voucher costs $18 and includes: entrée, side dish, dessert, and a drink. The portions are large, and you definitely get your money’s worth. If you choose to order meal vouchers, we suggest either one or two per day depending on how much your student usually eats. (ie. if they eat a small lunch, have them use cash/credit card for this, and get one voucher per day. If they are a big eater: go with 2.) For your planning, the following describes how many meals there will be:
Wed- 1, Thur-3, Fri-3, Sat-3, Sun-1. (4 breakfasts at ~$10, 7 meal vouchers at $18) (Separate from this, students will need to pack a lunch for Wednesday.) If you pay $10 per breakfast, and order a meal voucher for all other meals, the total will be $166 for all meals. However, we only will be collecting the meal voucher order money….do not send in cash/money for breakfasts. Finally, if you or other family members are traveling to Disney, you may order extra meal vouchers as well!
