Responsibilities:
The Project Manager Intern provides quality project compliance and administrative support to the Project Management Team. Interns are responsible for maintaining satisfied clients by delivering assistance and administrative support to the General Superintendent on various projects. This will be a temporary position involving various duties that provide exposure to the student’s field of study and providing experience that is meaningful preparation for future professional employment.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Project Management or similar
- Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with variety of people
- Problem solving capabilities necessary to accomplish the duties and tasks of the position
- Previous relevant experience highly preferred
- Ability to correctly make decisions involving client issues/problems including when to escalate the problem to a more
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
- Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team oriented environment
- Detail oriented and able to work with equations and graphs
- Must be able to represent Canyon Pipeline in a professional manner, reflecting the Canyon Pipeline Core Values and Leadership Principles
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and proper research methods in gathering data
Regular and timely attendance is essential and hours must conform to the Company’s operating hours. Some personal safety equipment is supplied such as safety vest and hard hat. Additional personal safety equipment may be required for specific jobs sites such as steel-toed boots and prescription safety glasses (as needed).
Allfield-based positionsrequire an ability to comprehend specific directions so as to ensuresafe andrelevant OSHA-compliant practices. An ability to tolerate work in all sorts of environments, conditions, weather and seasons is essential.
The work occurs within the “red zone” of heavy equipment, and consists of medium to heavy work with prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling.
