- 1993 International Space Camp participant in Huntsville, AL. Completed training
involving intense curriculum in principles of aerospace technology, space
exploration, and international space and rocketry programs.
- 1993 Selected as the SD teacher to participate in the Goals 2000 FORUM in
Washington, DC, Department of Education
- 1994 Appointed to the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards’
Exceptional Needs Standards Committee, Washington, DC (3 year term)
- 1994 Initiated and organized the first ever SD Teacher Forum held August, 16, 1994 at
