Can youalso discuss and note down the Club’s Keys Actions for the next 12 months.

As part of the review can you also ask the club to review the original statements and agree any material changes that need to be inserted into the original form?

Key Actions Plan:

Achievement Against Actions
1)

At the start of season 2012/13 there were doubts that AK would be able to put out a Men’s 3rd team, Women’s Team, Senior Colts and Under 12s, all of which AK had been able to runregularly before.
Through active recruitment campaigns (such as Gumtree, Facebook, AK Website, Local Press) and involvement of the Community Rugby Coachfor the Junior Section, the Men’s 3rd Team fulfilled virtually all of their fixtures, the Women’s Team fulfilled all of theirs and by the second half of the season AK were able to put out an Under 12s Team. Unfortunately AK were not able to put out a Senior Colts Team but we are optimistic that we will have teams at all age groups next season.
AK has advertised a paid position for Minis Coaching Manager, with responsibility to increase numbers amongst the AK Mini Section. Position yet to be filled.
Only partial success has been achieved with this objective.
A reasonable number of Junior section parents attended the summer 2012 members work parties and two parents have taken an active lead with development matters such as organising clubhouse roof repairs and contribution to RFU and Inspired Facilities Grant applications.
AK have also been able to maintain the requirednumbers of qualified coaches throughout most of the teams within the Junior Section and have increased the numbers of coaches undertaking the Safeguarding Training.
However getting an improved amount of involvement / buy in from the Junior Section as regards task volunteering and Committee participation is still proving difficult.
Key Actions Plan for next 12months
1)
2)
3)
4)
5) / Continue with development of clubhouse, changing rooms and exterior areas of the club. ie.
Finalise refurbishment of changing rooms through new flooring and toilets.
Through AK members work parties improve approaches to clubhouse by weeding and widening where necessary the borders adjacent to the driveway and front car park, so that evergreen shrubs can be planted. Metal fence also to be repainted.
Await results from RFU Grant application and if successful organise and implement required work on car park and kitchen.
Finalise and submit Inspired Facilities application for improvements to floodlights.
Keep focused on longer term Development Plan, in conjunction with Firework Display profits, for such as new clubhouse heating system and roof.
Continue active recruitment campaign to attract players at all levels, genders and age group to ensure that current number of teams are at least maintained and the actual number of players increased. Gumtree, Facebook, AK Website and Local Press to be used for this purpose as well as RFU’s Community Rugby Coach.
Also continue to pursue post of ‘Mini Coaching Manager
Look to appoint coach for Women’s Team.
Look to new ways of improving the involvement of Junior Team parents in the management and coaching areas of the club.
Josh Cammis has been appointed Forwards Coach for Senior Teams. As a current CRC he may be prepared to undertake some new training of Mini / Junior Team coaches.
May be able to link something in with forthcoming anniversaries at the club ie. 50 years at Stelfox Ave in 2017 and 125th anniversary of the club in 2022. That is look for volunteers across the club who will consider and put forward ideas to celebrate these events.
Progress the Incorporation of AK, through club member who is a Solicitor
Ensure that all AK Junior / Mini Team Coaches have been CRB checked or submitted new applications by 01.09.14
Also ensure that all coaches are minimum Level 1 trained by 31.12.13
