FY12 TRAINING REQUIRMENTS
New Employee Requirements NAF
· Register on the Family & MWR Academy website at www.imcomacademy.com (enter academy - create new account) within first week of hire.
· Complete Family & MWR On-line Orientation and Operation Excellence Customer Service (OPEX) within 30 days of hire.
· Schedule attendance for classroom Family & MWR Team Member Orientation within 30 days of hire.
· Attend classroom Operational Excellence Customer Service (OPEX) training within 90 days of hire.

New DoD employees - Safety Training

No Fear Act
According to section Public Law, DoD Components shall train all of its employees (including supervisors and managers) about the rights and remedies available under antidiscrimination Laws and Whistleblower Protection Law. Components must train new employees in its orientation program or other training program. Components that do not use a new employee orientation program must train new employees within 90 calendar days of appointment. Each Component must train all employees no longer than every 2 years. *Training can be accessed through Skillport Army e-learning.
Ethics Orientation and Training
DoD Components shall provide each new employee, within 90 days of hire, one hour of duty time to review ethics materials and any additional DoD Component regulations, or training course that cover similar information. *Annual requirement

Information Assurance (IA) Training
DoD Components shall provide initial, continuing, and refresher training to all employees responsible for the management of use of computer systems that process sensitive information, including executives; program and functional managers, information resource management, security, and audit personnel; information technology management, operations, and programming personnel; and end users. Training shall include computer security basics; computer security policies and procedures; contingency planning; and systems life cycle management. *Annual requirement

Constitution Day Training (September 17th)
September 17th is “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day”. According to Public Law, heads of each Federal agency or department each year must provide new employees of the agency or department, educational and training materials, and provide to each employee of the agency or department, educational and training materials about the United States Constitution. *Annual requirement

Antiterrorism Training
DoD components shall provide antiterrorism Level – I awareness training to orient all civilian personnel, on general terrorist threats and personal protection measures that could reduce vulnerability to acts of terrorism, consistent with DoD instruction (August is Antiterrorism month). *Annual requirement

Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH)
DoD Components shall provide training programs to teach employees at all levels how to identify and prevent sexual harassment, consistent with requirements in Secretary of Defense Requirements.

Combating Trafficking in Persons Training
Components shall conduct annual CTIP awareness training programs for all members of their Components to educate all DoD civilians annually on the worldwide trafficking menace, national TIP policy, overseas theater TIP policy, and attendant personal responsibilities consistent with DoD core values and ethical standard in accordance with DoD Instruction. This training may be combined with other security related training.
