Players must be AYSO registered for the 2013/2014 seasons
Cost is $275.00 per team

AYSO Divisions
Tournament Rules
- Registration:
A. The Tournament Committee will accept applications in the order submitted. A team becomes an official entry after the tournament committee has properly received the application fee and roster form.
B. All teams should register by June 7th , 2014.
C. Teams selected for participation will be notified by June 15th, 2014.
D. Games will be played rain or shine unless extreme weather conditions exist. Rain date will be June 22nd, , 2014.
E. Should the tournament not commence on the above-mentioned dates, all teams will receive full reimbursement for monies received by the tournament committee.
F.Entry Fee is $275/team.
G.Any team selected for participation that decides not to play will forfeit its registration fee.
H.Team Referee:
1. Each team is encouraged to bring a center referee certified in their appropriate age division (over the age of 16). A $50 deposit, included in your registration, will be given to referees that stay for the duration of our tournament.
2. All referees will be in full uniform.
- Referees will adhere to the AYSO philosophy and FIFA Laws of the Game.
- Player Qualifications:
1. Players must be registered and actively participate in the current AYSO season, fall of 2013 or spring of 2014, to be eligible for this tournament.
2. Players may play up one division in order to fill rosters.
- Rosters must be completed and submitted with tournament application.
- Completed roster forms are to be signed by your Regional Commissioner.
J.Scheduling:
1.All teams will be guaranteed a minimum of three games.
2.Groupings will be done by random draw if there are divisions with 7 or more teams.
3.Any region with more than one team in the same age division will automatically be placed in different brackets.
4. Drawings will be done the day of the tournament. Any changes to the aforementioned will be passed along to the coaches.
II.Competition:
A. All games will be 30 minutes in length. In the event of an injury, the referee may add time at the end of a game if the injury occurs in the second half. Teams are expected to be ready to take the field 10 minutes prior to start of game, warm-ups must be done prior to taking the field.
B. A minimum of 5 players shall constitute a team. A scheduled game shall not commence if one or both teams cannot field 5 players. If either team is not ready, unless there is a scheduling conflict, the game shall be deemed a forfeit. The winning team shall receive a 1-0 victory.
C. Coaches or parents shall not enter the field of play unless requested by the official.
D. The tournament will be divided into one or more groups. The tournament committee has the right to structure a division in the best interest of the participants. Each team will play qualifying games. The most points scored within each respective division will decide advancement to playoff rounds.
E. Scoring:
1. 6 Points for a Victory
2. 3 Points for a Tie
3.Goals: 1 Point for each goal scored (Maximum 3 goals per game).
4.Forfeit: Recorded as 1-0 win.
5.Each YellowCard: Deduct one point.
6.EachRedCard: Deduct 2 points.
III.Substitution
A. Approximately midway through the first half and midway through the second half, the referee shall halt the game for substitutions. Additionally, substitutions can be made at halftime. In the overtime period, applicable to championship games only, the referee shall halt the game at midpoint for substitutions. Referee stoppage is to be made when the ball is out of play.
B. All players on the roster must play at least half of each game.
C. Substitution for injury:
- If a player is injured, the coach may sub the injured player, in which case the injured player may not return until the next scheduled substitution break.
- A coach may play down a player, therefore allowing the injured player to return during stoppage in play. This must be communicated to the referee.
IV.Tie Breaker Criteria
In the event that a tie exists when determining the top teams in each group, the following criteria will be used:
- Head-to-head competition
- Most goals scored (maximum 3 per game)
- Least goals allowed
- Least yellow cards given
- Least red cards given
- Shoot-out
a. During a shootout, 5 players will be chosen from those remaining on the field. FIFA rules apply.
b. In the event of a tie, playoff games only, one 15 minute period will be played. If game is tied at the end of 15 minutes, a shot-out will occur.
V.Awards:
A. Team Sportsmanship award will be presented to a coach based upon sportsmanship points earned.
B. Individual players of first through 4th place teams will receive trophies.
C. Medals will be given to all other places.
VI.Roles and Responsibilities of the Coaches and Referees:
A. Each coach and referee must uphold the Tournament Rules and Regulations.
B. At all times encourage good sportsmanship and fair play.
C. Participate in Positive Coaching and control all spectators on your team.
D. Sideline coaching is limited to two coaches per team.
E. Negative Comments to the Referee will not be allowed.
Referees will implement the AYSO philosophies and FIFA Laws of the game. If a player is injured, the referee may stop the play immediately, or wait until the ball is out of play (if the play is not near the injured player). This is at the referee’s discretion.
Each field is approximately 110’ x 200’ or 120’ x 240’
Size 5 balls should be used for U14 games
Size 4 balls should be used for U10 and U12 games
Protests will not be allowed
Directions to Mifflinburg Soccer Fields:
From Williamsport: Take Rt. 15 South to Lewisburg. At the intersection of Rt. 15 and Rt. 45, turn right heading west on route 45. Travel approximately 8 miles to Mifflinburg. At the first stop sign, a Sheetz store is on your right, turn left. Go one and a half blocks; the fields are on your right.
From RB Winter State Park, travel East on 192. At Forest Hill, there is a road leading to Mifflinburg, Buffalo Road. Turn Right on Buffalo Road. Travel approximately 5 miles and arrive at route 45 (this is a T). Turn left on route 45, travel to the next red light, a Sheetz is on your left, turn right and go one and a half blocks.
