Assignment: Western Hemisphere Independence Project
Objective – Working with a partner or independentlyyou will create a Google Slides presentation that teaches the class about how a certain Western Hemisphere country gained its independence. Each student will be responsible for a different part of the presentation (or all of it if working by oneself).
Country choices– Brazil, Haiti, Mexico, Gran Columbia (Columbia, Venezuela, Ecuador), or Argentina
Key Questions - Your PowerPoint presentation must answer the following questions, with each answer getting at least two slide with facts, analysis & images. The work will be divided equally between you and your partner(s). You must also include an Introduction and conclusion slide.
- When did independence happen? (Make a timeline) (…Why did it happen then?)

- Who were the key independence leaders? (More than one?) (…What were their goals?)
