AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 441148 SO AS TO PROHIBIT THE RESALE FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION OF MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN SOLD TO AND RETURNED BY A CONSUMER.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Resale for human consumption prohibited for fresh meat or fresh meat products if returned by a consumer
SECTION1.Chapter 1, Title 44 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
“Section 441148.Fresh meat or fresh meat products sold to a consumer may not be offered to the public for resale for human consumption if the fresh meat or fresh meat products have been returned by the consumer.”
Time effective
SECTION2.This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
Ratified the 23rd day of May, 2012.
Approved the 25th day of May, 2012.
