1.  Import all of the audio files under Edit 2 into audacity.

2.  Mute all of the files except for “Mr. Senffner’s Second Edit”

3.  Find the track labeled “Bram Stokers Dracula – The Beginning” (HINT: You may want to move the track up in the browser so that it is next to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit)

  1. Compare the sound track of “Bram Stokers” with “Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit”
  2. You are looking to find where the clip begins

“Bram Stoker’s Dracula” Clip Beginning ______

  1. Once you have determined the beginning of the clip segment, cut from that point to the beginnings.
  2. The two clips should now look similar to each other.
  3. Now find the clip ending of Bram Stoker’s Dracula “The Biginning”

  1. Cut from the ending of the clip segment to the end of the song.

4.  Move on to “The Flight of the Valkaries” (HINT: You may want to move the track up in the browser so that it is next to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit)

  1. Compare the track “The Flight of the Valkaries” to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit.
  2. Find where the track “Flight of the Valkaries” should begin

  1. After you find where Flight of the Valkaries should begin, use your time shift tool to place the track where it belongs. (HINT: The two tracks should be lined-up now)
  2. Now find the clip ending of Flight of the Valkaries

  1. Cut from the ending of the clip segment to the end of the song.
  2. Add a one (1) second fade out to the end of the segment as cut.

5.  Move on to “Love Potion #9” (HINT: You may want to move the track up in the browser so that it is next to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit)

  1. Compare the track “Love Potion #9” with Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit
  2. Find where the track “Love Potion #9” should begin
  3. Use the Time Shift Tool to move “Love Potion #9” where it should be so that it lines up with Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit.
  4. Find the point in the clip segment where “Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit” transitions from “Love Potion #9” to “Monster Mash.”

Transition between “Love Potion #9” & “Monster Mash” ______

  1. At that point, go to the Edit tab at the top of the page and select SPLIT within the “Love Potion #9” clip segment.
  2. Use the Time Shift Tool to move the second part of “Love Potion #9” to where “Monster Mash” turns back into “Love Potion #9.”

Transition between “Monster Mash” & “Love Potion #9” ______

  1. Now find the ending of the clip segment “Love Potion #9” (HINT: you will be deleting most of the song, look to the end for your answer).

  1. Make the final cut to “Love Potion #9.”

6.  Move on to “Monster Mash” (HINT: You may want to move the track up in the browser so that it is next to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit)

  1. Compare the track “Monster Mash” with Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit
  2. Find where the track “Monster Mash” should begin (HINT: There is a sneaky cut somewhere in “Love Potion #9” that you may have to play with to find).

  1. At that point, go to the Edit tab at the top of the page and select SPLIT and place a split before the segment and after the segment
  2. Delete the potion of “Monster Mash” before the segment you need.
  3. Use the Time Shift Tool to move the first “Monster Mash” segment to where it should be above the “Love Potion #9” track.
  4. Use the Time Shift Tool to move the second “Monster Mash” segment to where it should begin between the two “Love Potion #9” segments.
  5. More will need to be cut from the second “Monster Mash” clip. Find the section that should be cut from “Monster Mash.”

  1. Make the cut in the second “Monster Mash” clip.
  2. Now find the clip ending of “Monster Mash”

7.  Move on to “Halloween 1” (HINT: You may want to move the track up in the browser so that it is next to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit)

  1. Compare the track “Halloween 1” with Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit
  2. Find where the track “Halloween 1” should begin (HINT: Listen for the violin entrance and use that as your guide to line up the two tracks).
  3. Use the Time Shift Tool to move the “Halloween 1” segment to where it should be.
  4. Now find the clip ending of “Halloween 1”

8.  Move on to “A Family Affair” (HINT: You may want to move the track up in the browser so that it is next to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit)

  2. Find where the track “A Family Affair” should begin (HINT: It may help to look at the volume and wave sizes to find where it is in the clip segment).

9.  Move on to “Mr. Senffner Vocals – Project 2” (HINT: You may want to move the track up in the browser so that it is next to Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit)

  1. Compare the track “Mr. Senffner Vocals – Project 2” with Mr. Senffner’s 2nd Edit
  2. Find where the track “Mr. Senffner Vocals – Project 2” should begin.
  3. Use the Time Shift Tool to move the “Mr. Senffner Vocals – Project 2” segment to where it should be.
  4. The two clips should now look similar to each other.
  5. Next you will need to determine the vocal pitch that “Mr. Senffner Vocals – Project 2” needs to be adjusted to.
  6. Select “Mr. Senffner Vocals – Project 2” and go to the Effect tab at the top of the page. Select Pitch Change. Keep playing with lowering the pitch and checking how low it goes by using the preview button (HINT: You need to make sure that the sound is going down, not up. If it sounds like a chipmunk it isn’t correct).

  1. Listen further to the clips. You will notice there is a point where the clips do not line up again. There is a slight cut that needs to happen at this point.

10.  At this point, go to all of the locations where there are vocals from “Mr. Senffner Vocals – Project 2” and use your Envelope tool to shrink gradually the parameters of the sound waves down to about .3 Amplitude (HINT: This means that there should be four points for each vocal section. One point to begin the fade down, a second point to bring it to its lowest point, a third point to end the lowest point, and a fourth point to bring it back up to the top).
