The last event Washington Alliance for Life did prior to Christmas was PC Homeless Connect, Santa’s Workshop. Approximately 1,500 came by our pro-life booth. Baskets, Blessings, Peyton gave us two large baskets of various needed items for us to hand out. We are grateful to them for their donations. Families were very interested in the Touch of Life baby models and they were a clear visual of the developing babies in the womb for the people stopping by our table. We also gave out over 75 Bibles of which was a blessing. Anya Bostwick’s church donated military Bibles and lots of people wanted one of them for their families.
Many people asked, looking at the Touch of Life babies, ”Does it really look like that”? “Is it really that developed”. Others showed their children the Touch of Life babies and lot of children held them. Many Spanish speaking people came by and my Spanish although very rusty, still we were able to communicate by counting the months and holding the Touch of Life babies. Many older men looked at the baby models and they commented that they never knew how early the baby was developed. About 70 pregnancy brochures were given out and 25 senior brochures. Many people said they liked the booth.
I felt joyful seeing all the Bibles taken and many asked if they could have one. Rosalind Stark helped with the booth and Gary Wiffler. It was very busy showing the babies with a large crowd. We also gave out 50 millionaire dollar bills with the message of salvation on them.
PC Homeless Connect was busy feeding all the people and the volunteers that came. Many got their haircut or signed up for medical or got toys and coats for their family. Alanna Rodgers does a wonderful job organizing these events.
A police Officer came by that took brochures since he is one over a homeless area in PC. It is nice to see that he was connecting to get help for the homeless. It would be wonderful if everyone had a home especially during the winter months. There was so many families that came through without homes. This should not be how it is in America.

If you have extra coats, Freezing Nights in Puyallup could use them. Contact, New Hope Resource Center for the hours that they are open 253-845-0174. Salvation Army and the Rescue Mission are helping pregnant moms and both these agencies need coats, hats and gloves. Think of donating what you can so people can stay warm.
Teri Conover has accepted the position of Secretary on the board of Washington Alliance for Life. She has worked ministry and we are happy she will be on our board.
If any of you would like to have a pro-life table in January let us know. We can sign out our Touch of life baby models to people we know or have volunteered. If we have the time and are available we can do a table for your church also.WE greatly appreciate and thank Our Savior Lutheran Church for supporting our ministry again for next year.
As we think of Christmas, remember there are people living homeless all over Pierce County. Think of the young women also that they can get the resources so they will choose life for their babies. Our ministry addresses the physical by our brochures and spiritual needs of people by sharing the salvation message.
You can make a difference by telling a woman she can get help, sharing the facts of life or even taking a woman to a Care-Net in your area. A few minutes of kindness and help can save a person’s life and make a big difference in a woman’s future.
As we celebrate Jesus’s birthday, let us remember in prayer for young moms and fathers that they make the choice and choose life. Pray they get the help that they need for them and their babies. Pray most importantly that people come to know the savior that came to take the sins of the world because of His love for us. Pray people turn to Him in their time of need. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Remember we are celebrating Jesus’s birthday. May people choose Life for their babies and Jesus for eternallife.
Merry Christmas! May you have a blessed Christmas with your family and may the Lord bless next year. Thanks be to Jesus for the things He will do and has done..
In Him for Life,
Glenda Wiffler
