Applications for a credit-bearing community internship in psychology forSummerand/or Fall2018are due by 3:00pm onFebruary 23, 2018.Applications must be received by this deadline in order to be considered for summer and fall internship placements – there are no exceptions. Applications should be left in the mailbox of the department internship coordinator, Michael Lynch; mailboxes are located next to Bailey 127. Please do not submit applications electronically.

REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for an internship, students must:

Be a declared psychology major

Have an overall G.P.A. of 2.75

Have a psychology G.P.A. of 3.0 (minimum of 9 credits at Geneseo)

Be of junior or seniorstanding

A copy of your unofficial transcript needs to be attached to the application, and two letters of recommendation are required. After your application is complete, you will be contacted about scheduling an interview with the department internship coordinator.

An application does NOT guarantee an internship placement. Students mayNOT arrange their own internship placements. All placements must be approved by the Psychology Department and the College. Students enrolled in a community internship in psychology are required to attend a weekly one-hour seminar (on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00) and to complete its assignments in order to receive course credit for the internship.
