Before Meeting
- Place 5 or 6 alumni forms (in tub) on donut table. Add forms as needed so they don’t run out.
- Coffee (Only full urns can be made) Use 12 cup Mr. Coffee for decaf (under large sink)
2.1Check that coffee urns and filter holders are empty. Empty and rinse as needed.
2.2Place filters in holders. Filters are in the top right hand cabinet.
2.3Measure 4-5 scoops of coffee into each filter holder (depending on the grind). Scoop is 1\2 cup. Adjust as needed. Use one scoop for 12 cup Mr. Coffee (decaf)
2.4Make sure the green lamp (Ready) is lit; then flip the brew lever on one urn at a time. Wait for the green lamp to re-light before brewing another urn. Large urn is approximately 50 cups.
2.5Place drip catchers under each spigot. Drip catchers are on the large shelf.
2.6Place tent signs near each urn. Tent signs are in the cabinet above the urns.
2.7If more coffee is needed it can be made in the large urn or the Mr. Coffee 12 cup as described above.
- Place cups, sweeteners, creamers, tea and other supplies out on counter near the coffee urns. If there are donuts, place napkins and others miscellaneous supplies on the donut table as well.
- NoCoNet members are not allowed in kitchen for any reason – close door.
During Meeting
- Check coffee levels before and during networking break. Brew more coffee as needed. It is generally not a good idea to brew coffee after the networking break, as too much of the coffee will need to be discarded after the meeting. (The Mr. Coffee can be used for smaller amounts)
- Large donut boxes need to be flattened and folded to minimize dumpster space.
- Re-supply cups and other supplies as needed. Especially watch the creamer and sweeteners.
Clean Up
- Restock sweeteners and stirring sticks before inserting back into sleeves.
- Return all unused supplies to the coffee box and cup bags.
- Empty and rinse the coffee urns and filter holders. Make sure there are no grounds left in the filter holders.
- Rinse the drip catchers and return to the shelf.
- Wipe the counter top and donut tables with a damp paper towel, rag or napkin. Cleaner is in the lower right hand cabinet as well as rags when available.
- Leftover donuts can be taken to the church office.
Every effort should be made to leave the church refreshment area
in the same or better condition than it was found.
