Sub: DPE-Sports Calendar 2016-17-reg.
Please find enclosed herewith the copy of the Sports calendar and other details of Inter Collegiate Tournaments which is approved in the Fixture meeting held on 08 Aug 2016 at Kannur University Campus, Thavakkara. There is no change in the eligibility criteria for the Inter Collegiate participation and University team Selection. Tug of War (M & W) has been included as a new discipline and the Chess Championship will be conducted separately for Men and Women from this year onwards.
All the participating colleges/ institutions have to submit the eligibility proforma along with photograph online through the Department website www.kannuruniversitydpe.com. Each event will be notified in the website as per the sports calendar. Eligibility proforma should be uploaded one day before the starting date of the tournament. A ‘hard copy’ of the eligibility proforma should also be submitted to the concerned convener of the tournament at the time of participation. The procedure for uploading the eligibility proforma and username & passwords of HoD Physical Education and Principal are also enclosed herewith.
The teams/ players will be permitted to participate in the tournaments only if they are accompanied by the Physical Education faculty or a teaching staff of the college as the team manager. Teams should report with college identity card and proper playing kit atleast half an hour before the scheduled time for the commencement of the tournament. The University team selection will be held on the last day of the tournaments, unless otherwise specified.
