October 18, 2013 – Princeton – We will have a docent -led walk, admiring sculptures on Princeton’s campus, from Louise Nevelson to Henry Moore. Rest of day is for your pleasure .. lunch in town, their Art Museum is scrumptious, their chapel absolutely beautiful. Map provided. Bus leaves 10:00, returns 5:30. Transportation and docent, $50.00. Closing Date September 27.
November 15 – Brandywine River Museum – New! Tour of Andrew Wyeth’s studio. Special exhibit “Jaime Wyeth, Rockwell Kent and Monhegan Island.” The island is an artist’s paradise. These paintings are sure to be beautiful - Monhegan is just beautiful. Bus leaves 10:15, returns 4:30. You can have lunch in their café. Tour, museum admission, and transportation $57.

December 7 – The Barnes Foundation – by popular demand, another visit. Exquisite. Always a delight. Admission and transportation $48. Bus leaves 1:15, returns 5:45.

January 17 – The Michener Museum – Their special exhibit is “Grace Kelly – Beyond the Icon.” We will have a docent guided tour. Their permanent collection is gorgeous with Bucks County Artists, Pennsylvania Impressionists, and Nakashima Reading Room. Café available.
Bus leaves 12:00, returns 5:30. Admission, transportation and docent - $50.00.

February 8 – Philadelphia Orchestra at The Kimmel Center – featuring Emanuel Ax (piano), Jeffrey Khaner (flute) in a program of works by Bach, Strauss, and Mahler. Pre-concert discussion included (on a former visit, Emanuel Ax spoke at the discussion – we can hope). Bus leaves 6:15, returns 11:15. Admission and transportation: Third Tier - $62.00; Second Tier - $83.00.
Closing Date January 15.
April 26 – New York City – Day on your own. Drop-off at Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dinner on your own Chinatown or Little Italy. Bus leaves 8:15am, returns 9:30pm. Transportation $42.00 . Closing Date: April 17.
May 9 – Winterthur – we’ll be visiting at the height of their blooming season. We will have a 25 minute tram ride through their gardens; 45 minute tour of the house. Visit their gallery (Costumes of Downtown Abbey and more) on your own, and lunch in their cafeteria. Bus leaves 9:45AM, returns 5:00. Admission and transportation $52.00. This will be our first visit after their being closed for renovations. Closing Date May 1.
Important Information
We may be planning a trip in June to The Grounds for Sculpture, and am waiting for their schedule of events.
Note, unusual for us, some of our trips are on a Friday.
Bus leaves from The Deptford Municipal Building, 1011 Cooper Street, Deptford. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure time.
