¨ This interactive worksheet is in a form format. This means that space is provided for students to enter answers. When the students are ready to answer the question, they can just click on the space until a black bar appears and start typing (or paste).
¨ To copy/paste sentences from the web site to the worksheet:
1. Select the sentences you want to copy by clicking in front of the first word of the selection and dragging the mouse all the way across to highlight the selection you want to copy.
2. Right click on the highlighted selection and choose copy.
3. Minimize the web site and go back to the Worksheet.
4. Move the cursor to the exact place you want to paste the selection. Click on the paste icon and the selection will appear.
Procedure:
- Students should click on and read through the first link provided on the page to find the definition of a hyperbole. Students can then copy/paste the definition to finish the sentence, or type it in themselves.
- Students then use the links provided under item number 2 to find examples of hyperbole. Students should read through the examples until they get a good idea of what a hyperbole really is.
- Students can then copy/paste (or type) four examples of hyperbole in the space provided.
- Students then fill in the blank spaces the paragraph at the bottom with hyperbole to make it more descriptive.
Worksheet can be done independently or with teacher assistance.
Evaluation:
Students can read their revised paragraph outloud.
Teachers can collect worksheet for evaluation.
