In Spanish, the pronoun for I, is Yo

In Spanish, the pronoun for you (informal) is Tú

*NOTE* You will use the informal tense when you speak to someone you know, family, and friends.

In Spanish, the pronoun for you (formal) is Ud.

*NOTE* You will use the formal tense when you speak to someone who is a stranger or holds a status of respect: teacher, principal, boss, authoritative figures, the President, etc.

In Spanish, when you refer DIRECTLY to a group of people that doesn’t include you the pronoun you would use is (main) Uds.

In Spanish, when you refer INDIRECTLY to a group of people that doesn’t include you the pronouns you would use are:

*Group of girls: Ellas

*Co-ed group: Ellos

There are also two ways to talk directly to a group of people.

The formal and most common way to address a group of people is the you all/ y’all or Uds. form.

*In Spain, they also use an informal way to address a group of people which would be known as:

Vosotros/as. *You will almost NEVER use this unless indicated as such!!*
