We are looking for a dynamic, caring, innovative and experienced educator to perform the role of Vice-Principal. This position is available for the 2017 school year with possibility of extension.

You will:
Assist the Principal in the effective administration of programming including: building relationships and developing staff; setting direction; developing the department organization; leading instructional programs; securing accountability; working with stakeholders and community members
What we are looking for:
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Valid certificate of registration and qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers;
•Principal qualifications Part 1 (or currently working towards obtaining Part 1);
•Deaf Specialist qualifications;
•Special Education qualifications (minimum Special Education Part 1 or currently pursuing).
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•Successful experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students;
•Excellent knowledge of: Ontario’s education system; the Education Act/associated regulations; the curriculum review/implementation processes; education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students;
•Excellent knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and ability to provide instructional leadership to Elementary/Secondary/ Resource programs;
•Well-developed communication/interpersonal/supervisory/management skills;
•Advanced knowledge of assistive technology for Deaf and Hard of Hearingstudents;
•American Sign Language (ASL) fluency required;
•Ability to travel throughout Ontario.
