NSF I/UCRC Program Information Session- Today

3-5 p.m., Lecture room, 3rd floor, K-State Student Alumni Center
An I/UCRC enables industrially-relevant, pre-competitive research via a multi-member, sustained partnerships among industry, academe, and government. The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs and the Wheat Genetics Resource Center I/UCRC are cosponsoring an information session on the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Industry/University Cooperative Research Center's (I/UCRC) program. This session will be March 29, 3-5 p.m., Lecture room, 3rd floor, K-State Student Alumni Center. NSF supports the development and evolution of I/UCRCs, providing a financial and procedural framework for membership and operations in addition to best practices learned over decades of fostering public/private partnerships that provide significant value to the nation, industry and university faculty and students.

NSF CAREER Workshop – April 19

The Office of Research and Sponsored programs is coordinating a workshop for faculty submitting proposals to the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program. The CAREER is NSF’s most prestigious award in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars. This session will start with presentations on the requirements for submission, review criteria, submission protocol and evaluation resources. These will be followed by a panel of recent Kansas State University CAREER awardees who will provide tips on submitting to and receiving an award under this program. Attendees will have an opportunity to submit an NSF CAREER Project Summary for review and feedback as part of this session. Further information will be sent to registrants. Registration for this event is required.

Undergraduate Research Poster ForumRegistration closes April 7
Registrationis now open for the Undergraduate Research Poster Forum. Registration closes on April 7. This event is a showcase of research and scholarly activities conducted by undergraduate students from the College of Engineering at Kansas State University. This on-campus event provides students an opportunity to share their research activities with fellow K-State students and faculty and to gain experience presenting their work in a professional setting. The poster forum will be held April 27, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
