Frederick the Great Resume

· I would like to keep my status as the king off Prussia and also expand Prussia as a power. I have annexed the land of Silesia and plan to keep it under Prussian control.
· I am the son of Frederick William I The Great Elector and thus the rightful King of Prussia through primogenitor. I am very well educated and a close friend with the great philosophe Voltaire.

· I have been well educated in my years. My father gave me an excellent military education. In Kuestrin, I studied agriculture, economy, and administration. I have read of many aspects of the enlightenment as well as military strategy.
· Some of my major works are: THE KING OF PRUSSIA'S MILITARY INSTRUCTION TO HIS GENERALS (a 28-article book covering every aspect of war) and PARTICULAR INSTRUCTION OF THE KING OF PRUSSIA TO THE OFFICERS OF HIS ARMY, AND ESPECIALLY THOSE OF THE CAVALRY (a 16-article summary of in-combat battle tactics. I have written over 30 books and also compose and play music. I have written 121 flute sonatas, 4 flute concertos, as well as a March and Symphony. I have made Prussia the center of German art as well as science and philosophy.
· My father and I have not gotten along very well as he says that I do not have what it takes to be king. He said that, “I have condemned… grimacing like a fool, and never following my wishes out of love for me but only when forced into it, caring for nothing…” While I don’t hold my father in the highest of esteem, I still love and obey him. I love philosophy and am very much admire the philosophe Voltaire, who I often invite to my court. He compliments me on my ruling says that I am a “far more important and a far more dangerous phenomenon” than anyone expected. I have turned Prussia into a great European power, strengthened its cities, tripled its population, and, most importantly, defended it. I have heard many say: “[The monarch (me)] is a perpetual sentinel”. Indeed, it is my first priority to defend my people. About 50% of my tax money goes to the army!
