DAMEN Support programme is a Microfinance & Islamic Microfinance company working for the grass-root development in Pakistan and concentrates on social and economic uplift of the communities. DAMEN is seeking for the services of committed individuals for the position of Manager Operations (Micro Finance). Applications are invited from individuals fulfilling the criteria for the following position.

Manager Operations (Micro Finance)

Eligibility Criteria

·  Master degree in Social Sciences or equivalent with 10 years of experience in the relevant field.

·  Resourceful and independent, but comfortable working within the framework of an integrated development team-oriented environment

·  Having Excellent report writing skills

·  Good communication and writing skills in English and Urdu

·  Skill of working in computer software MS Office

·  Understanding of the non-governmental development paradigms

Main Responsibilities:

1.  Looking after the entire operations of the organization at the field level and designing business plans for various programs to be implemented at the field level.

2.  Liaison with higher management to implement policies of organization and provide strategic direction to staff for running the operations.

3.  Coordinate with the funding agencies/donors for the smooth running of the projects, managing funds, sending periodic reports and other statements as required by the donor.

4.  Furnish monthly activity reports on various development programs to COO/CEO.

5.  Maintain monthly performance records of Area Offices.

6.  Work in close relationship with the finance and HID sections to provide support to operations of the organization at field level.

7.  Approve and furnish requests from area offices for release of funds to finance section & ensure funds are transferred in time and ensure that all due funds (recoveries or any other receipts) are received by the head office finance section in time.

8.  Coordinate with finance section to ensure that all financial statements due to be sent to donors are furnished in time.

9.  Coordinate with the HID section for organizing trainings and capacity building activities for the staff involved in managing operations at the field and area level.

10.  Direct MIS officer at head office to generate various reports and statements regarding the performances of different area offices, field offices and overall program performance on periodic basis.

11.  Make random visits to the field and area offices to assess the quality of work and identify various gaps in the operation and suggest methods and activities to overcome the issues.

12.  Maintain close interaction with the area managers and take their suggestions for improving the performance of the program.

13.  Facilitate internal Auditor by providing support during the field and program level audit.

14.  Communicate observations made by internal auditors on records of field offices to the concerned area manager & make suggestions for improvement in standard of performance.

15.  Compile Annual Performance Reports of the Area Managers, MIS Officer and discuss the performance gaps with them.

16.  Draw the attention of the higher management if any special situation arises or any accident occurs in situation of which one is not mentioned in the operational manual.

17.  Enjoy leaves upon approval from COO according to the rules of the organization.

18.  Refrain from defamation, instigation and scandalous activities against the organization.

19. Discharge special responsibilities assigned by the COO/CEO
