Guidelines for Use
Energize Your Life! Eat Healthy-Be Active is a powerful, positive messages designed to help promote healthy eating and physical activity.
- Who can use the Energize Your Life! Eat Healthy-Be Active Logo and Materials?
The following types of organizations may use the logo and materials after registering your organization with the Nutrition Education Network of Washington:
- Local and State Departments of Agriculture, Education and Health
- Health Professional Organizations and their members
- Nutrition and Health Educators and others interested in promoting health.
- Food Commodity Organizations
- Tribes
- How do I register to use the logo?
An annual registration form must be completed. Once completed, you will receive a disk with the logo that can be used on printed materials. Funding for Network activities is partially dependent on reporting our outreach efforts. To register complete the attached form with the following information:
- Where the logo will be used
- How the logo is being used
- Audience that will be reached
- Number of people that will be reached
- Sample of how the logo will be used. (optional)

There is no fee to use the logo, but donations will help support and continue the campaign. Send campaign contributions to: Washington State University, Nutrition Education Excellence Fund, 7612 Pioneer Way East, Puyallup Washington 98371-4998. Attention: Energize Your Life Campaign.

- Where can the Energize Your Life! Eat Healthy-Be Active Logo be used?
- The logo can be used on nutrition and physical activity consumer targeted advertising, point-of-sales materials, educational literature and letterheads. It should be used as often as possible.
- The logo cannot be used on product packaging. NEN-WA does not allow use of this logo on packaging because the intent of this campaign is not to endorse any particular item, but rather promote general nutrition and physical activity recommendations.
- Can the logo be used outside of the state of Washington?
Yes.
- What colors can be used to print the logo?
Grayscale and Color versions are both acceptable. When printing in color black and red are the only colors to be utilized. The specific colors are:
4-color process (CMYK) 17 Cyan, 100 Magenta, 99 Yellow, 7 Black
Pantone Color Matching System (PMS) 1795
- Can the logo be altered or customized?
The logo must be used in the following formats without alterations:
- Block Style with the wording underneath the circle portion of the logo
- Banner Style with the wording to the right of the circle portion of the logo
- Circle only (without the words – this may only be used if the logo in its entirety has been used within your organization/agency previously and would be recognized by your target audience.)
- Are there guidelines on the dimensions of the logo?
There is not a limit as to how large the logo may be. The minimum sizes of the logo are:
- Entire logo block form: 1-1/4 inches square.
- Entire logo banner form: ¾ of an inch by 2 inches.
- Circle only: ¾ of an inch high.
- Is the logo trademarked?
The logo is register trademarked and cannot be copyrighted.
