1Using the data and evidence analysis for your program/department,identify the trends that you see in your quantitative data.

-The general studies attached to the program can be completed in high school, have articulated credit and have flexible offerings. The core courses are not completed/ articulated from high school and are offered only one time per term in one way.

-The program faculty has no active involvement in credit agreements at this time.

-The program faculty do not formally engage in prep and waitlist students.

- Noel Levitz analysis shows decreased satisfaction in the following:

* faculty understanding of students unique life circumstances/life problems/academic problems

* faculty considering student differences as they teach a course

*amount and security of student parking (severely dissatisfied)

*career services does not help students find a PTA job

*Faculty are knowledgeable in the field

*Program requirements are clear and reasonable

*good college communication with students

*financial aid resources and help finding resources from the college

*library resources were helpful

*New student orientation was very helpful for students to adjust to Western

*Campus services (Welcome Center, campus activities, Wellness center, veterans services, child care support) were rated with high satisfaction

Additional note:

Students were open to taking summer courses to graduate sooner

Example:

-Student Handbook with clear program expectations (Professional behavior expectations, Minimal grade on written and practical exams, attendance/tardiness expectations, late assignment policy)

-Service Learning/ Partnerships with other organizations to promote learning (EXPAND)

-Consistent syllabi and course policies

-Clinical Criteria for Passing and Breach of Conduct in the clinical setting

-Potlucks/ learning community development

-Flipped classroom (lecture and LAB with technology support)

-Videotaping practical exams for self- reflection

-Written exam analysis done post- test to identify reasons for errors

-Mid-term advising including behaviors, not just academics

-Peer tutoring one on one and in groups

-Office hours spent in lab tutoring students each week

-One on one advising at Orientation before entering program

-Delegation activity with PT students about PT/PTA role and relationship

-Lunch and learn (financial aid office, career services, practicing PTAs and PTs)

-Issues forum and PTA panel capstone projects
