7th Grade Girls MOORE WEST LADY TIGERS
TEAM RULES / CONDUCT CONTRACT
1. A basketball player should be conscious of the fact that her conduct reflects on her, the school, and the basketball program. I want our players to be proud of the school and show this through their conduct.
2. Basketball players should respect fellow students, faculty, and administration.
3. Basketball players should maintain proper behavior in the classroom. A basketball player must observe school policy concerning attendance. Unexcused absences and tardies will be dealt with in extra conditioning and potential suspension if the player persists.
4. Basketball players will travel to all contests in school provided transportation. After games, you may be released to your parents/guardians or another team parent provided guidelines are signed and contact is made with the coach.
5. Detrimental conduct will lead to punishment and could lead to suspension from the team. (I.E. open disrespect toward ANY person, Stealing, Fighting, and Vandalism, Cheating, Habitually ineligible, habitually lying or showing bad attitude / bad sportsmanship).
6. You must be on time (EARLY is better) for all practices, meetings, and games. When you are late, you and the team will do extra conditioning. Practice starts at 2:30, if you are not on the floor ready to go you are considered late.
7. Be positive during practices and games. Encourage each other and cheer for each other. Have your teammates back, communicate and build trust with one another.
8. Improper conduct during a game or practice could result in extra conditioning and possible suspension.
9. No unsportsmanlike conduct during games or practices and NO profanity!
A. NO EXCUSES! *When you make a mistake, admit it, pay the consequences and improve.
B. Arguing with an official or losing your temper will result in leaving a game or practice.
C. Good conduct at all times is a must. If your opponent is not a lady, you can still be one.
D. Be unselfish. Be a team. We win and lose together. Push each other but don’t criticize each other.
10. Finally; you are a STUDENT - athlete. STUDENT being the key word. If you are not passing classes you WILL NOT play. We have a weekly eligibility list, if your name is on it you will have extra conditioning until the grade(s) are back up to standard.

To the best of our ability, we will work together to follow the expectations of the basketball program and coaching staff and understand the consequences of breaking these rules and policies. We understand what is expected from a Lady Tiger Basketball Player and will do our part to help create a positive and encouraging atmosphere for everyone involved with the Lady Tiger Basketball Program.
