Nomination Award Categories

PEA judges will base their decisions on the information provided in the nominations. These awards are for people, not roles, so judges are looking for evidence of excellent performers, whose approach and impact go beyond normal expectations for their roles. Nominations are limited to the word count provided and judges will not see words over the limit; please use your word allocation to bring the nominee's contribution alive for the judges. Concrete examples and clear evidence of what has been achieved and how it has made a positive impact are especially useful. A single strong nomination is as likely to be shortlisted as multiple nominations. Generally nominations will be considered only in the category where they are nominated. All categories are open to any member of the postdoctoral/early career researcher community who is employed by the University of Birmingham within the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. Academic members of staff, technical staff and students are not eligible to receive nominations.

In your opinion what have they (or you have) achieved that is ‘outstanding’?

Please explain in up to 250 words what this individual (or you if you are self-nominating), has achieved that is exceptional. Concrete examples and clear evidence of what has been achieved are especially useful. Nominations are limited to the word count provided and judges will not see words over the limit.
