Genesee Valley Bronze Bear Soccer Club (GVBBSC) has been serving the developmental soccer needs of the greater Livingston County community since 1994. We are excited to provide opportunities for year round play through our Micro Soccer, Fall League, Indoor, and Travel programs.

GOLD SPORTMANSHIP AWARDS

We are proud to announce that in 2013, GVBBSC was a club in the Rochester District Youth Soccer League to have every single one of its teams earn a Gold Sportsmanship Award. This is true recognition of the positive behavior of our players, parents and coaches.

TRAINING FOR COACHES

GVBBSChas opportunities for volunteers for board positions, coaches and managers. In February, GVBBSC will be partnering with NY State West to offer GVBBSC coaches a Youth Training Program. Please email for more information about this module.

GVBBSC INDOOR TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER

GVBBSC will host its annual Indoor Tournament in March at SUNY Geneseo. With over 120 teams participating, this is the largest indoor event in the area. Volunteers are needed to help as this is our only fundraiser. Proceeds help keep our costs as low as possible!

Indoor Soccer – Enroll by 10/1/14 Skill development is the focus of the indoor season. Indoor soccer provides an opportunity for players to further develop their technical abilities, including foot skills, accuracy and speed of play. While game dynamics will be coached, they are not the key emphasis of the program. The Indoor soccer season runs from the first week in December through March.

U8-U17

  • Open to boys and girls
  • Practices held on Sundays at SUNY Geneseo. Boys and girls will rotate morning time slots each week
  • Practices will start with skill building activities for the entire group. Players will then break into smaller groups by grade level
  • Teams will participate in three tournaments including the GVBBSC tournament held in March
  • This is a program that allows the players to maintain and improve skill development while exploring other opportunities, such as basketball, swimming, dance, etc.

Fall Soccer

GVBBSC is proud to be affiliated with the Livonia Soccer Club to provide a league for 3-6th Grade girls and boys. This is a recreational league aimed at providing an opportunity for young athletes to enjoy the game of soccer. Practices begin in August with games on Saturdays during September and October. There is an end of the season tournament in the middle of October. The games are played at SUNY Geneseo, New Life Church (Lakeville), and York Central School.

Micro Soccer

GVBBSC’s Summer Micro program provides children with the opportunity to experience soccer in a non-competitive environment. Basic dribbling, passing and shooting skills are taught using a series of drills and fun activities.

  • Open to boys and girls ages 4-10
  • Ten sessions beginning in late June
  • Adult coordinators assisted by JV and Varsity soccer players
  • Each session wraps up with a small sided scrimmage

Travel Soccer

GVBBSC is a member of the Rochester District Youth Soccer League (RDYSL). GVBBSC is committed to helping players develop their skills in a way that will enable them to successfully compete against teams from the greater Rochester area.

Practices will be organized in a manner to allow players to experience as many touches on the ball as possible. All sessions will incorporate technical and tactical training. Practice and game strategies are developed to achieve results while preparing the players for higher levels of competition.

Travel soccer practices begin in late April/early May. League play takes place from May-July. Each team plays a 12 game schedule, with 6 home games and 6 away games.
